【洗刷國殤之柱與重漆太古橋 ｜Cleaning of the Pillar of Shame and Repainting of Swire Bridge】

三十二年前的六月四日，中共為鎮壓民主運動，在北京城內掀起腥風血雨。中共出動軍隊到天安門和長安大街上掃射殘殺手無寸鐵者的畫面仍然歷歷在目。學生為爭取自由、民主與廉潔的社會而走到天安門抗議，換來的卻是極權血淋淋的屠殺。

「冷血屠城烈士英魂不朽 誓殲豺狼民主星火不滅」廿字烙印於香港大學太古橋，除了表達對當年屠殺的強烈憤慨外，亦代表港大學生對民主自由的追求和對極權暴虐的永恆警惕。在1997年，港大先賢前輩無懼校方及警方的阻撓，將國殤之柱豎立於黃克競平台上，以作警世之用。時至今天，香港大學學生會每年均會在六四自發洗刷國殤之柱及重漆太古橋，銘記血的教訓和民主自由的可貴。

港大學生會將透過洗刷國殤之柱與重漆太古橋，藉當年北京學生以及港大先賢在六四屠城事件中的角色，連結本土政治，以香港為本位，反思兩地抗爭運動的相似相異之處，提醒同學作為知識份子的應有之義，毋忘歷史和血的教訓。是次活動歡迎所有同學和會員參與，詳情如下：

On the Fourth of June thirty two years ago, the Chinese Communist Party rolled its troops into Tiananmen and Chang’an avenue to trample on the social movement for democracy, leading to bloodbaths in Beijing, with the resounding images of the unarmed brutally killed still resonating in our hearts. The students went onto Tiananmen square to call for freedom, democracy and clean society, only to find that the bloody massacre of the tyranny was waiting for them.

The words “Souls of martyrs shall forever linger despite the brutal massacre; Spark of democracy shall forever glow for the demise of evils” scorched on the Swire Bridge in the University of Hong Kong expresses deep anger towards the massacre, the pursuit of democracy and freedom of students at HKU, and our alert towards the brutal regime. In 1997, our predecessors defied the obstruction from the University and the police, placing the Pillar of Shame on the Haking Wong Podium to remind fellow students, and members of the society. Till now, The Hong Kong University Students’ Union spontaneously cleans the Pillar of Shame and repaints the Swire Bridge on June 4 annually to remember the bloody lesson, and the importance of democracy and freedom.

Through the event of the cleaning of the Pillar of Shame and the repainting of Swire Bridge, The Hong Kong University Students’ Union aims to connect the pivotal role that student of Beijing and predecessors of the University of Hong Kong had in the massacre to the local politics, using a Hong Kong centric mentality to reflect and compare the social movements in Beijing and Hong Kong, and remind fellow students of our duties as intellectuals to never forget the past lessons that were written with blood. All students and full members of the Union are welcomed to participate in this event, and the details are as followed:

【法庭新聞】【 】港大學生郭子麟就合併案件於下月25日再訊

2019-2020年度香港大學工程學院一年級生郭子麟，於5月5日就被控管有適合作非法用途的工具並有意圖作非法用途使用於屯門裁判法院提堂。控方處理轉介程序呈交轉介文件時，另外修訂控罪（1）暴動罪及（4）管有適合作非法用途的工具，並新增控罪（21）在公眾地方管有攻擊性武器。郭被指於2019年11月19日於油麻地一帶管有一支雷射筆。案件今（25日）就上述控罪轉介至區域法院聆取對控罪的回答。

控辯雙方需時索取指示，控方申請於下次提堂把此案件另一案件合併（案件編號：DCCC 768/2020），法官提醒控方，由於被告數目多於10人，避免影響其他案件，法庭有機會考慮不接納合併申請。

案件押後至本年6月25日下午2:30於區域法院提訊。

校方公佈新學年住宿舍堂及學院公共衛生安排 住宿人士必須接種疫苗或每周自費檢測

【學苑新聞】學生資源及發展中心（CEDARS）今（5月21日）公佈新學年公共衛生安排 [1]，指自8月25日起，所有留宿於住宿舍堂及住宿學院內的人士均須完成疫苗接種程序，否則須每周自費進行病毒檢測。

｜所有宿生與住宿人士均須遵從新安排

根據校方公告，新安排適用於所有宿生、任何留宿於舍堂或學院的探訪人士及住宿職員，任何住宿人士均不獲豁免。因健康狀況而不宜接種疫苗的人士則須每周自費進行病毒檢測，至於原有的十四日隔離政策（14-day single occupancy requirement）將不再適用。

｜正商討後續行動 舍堂代表：希望能與校方談判

本報就校方新安排向各舍堂代表查詢，其中利希慎堂學生會認為校方未有考慮到政策執行上的問題，對有關安排表示「絕對反對」；大學堂宿生會亦指校方於推行相關安排前未有諮詢宿生會的做法「不合理」，令普遍宿生有不少顧慮；李國賢堂學生會預計來年舍堂收生數量將因校方強行實施政策而大幅減少，希望能與校方談判，推翻有關決定。
