Fun Fun Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year is coming. It is a very important and traditional festival for Chinese to reunite with family members and relatives. The International Team plans to organize an event to celebrate the Festival with our College students together.
• All WYS students are most welcomed to join:

For International and exchange students:
Have you heard of the origin of Chinese New Year? Do you know how to celebrate it? Are you interested in enjoying the Festival with us? If yes, pls come and join us. The event will be conducted in English and you will be able to make some friends while having fun.

For Local students:
Are you interested in chatting and making friends with foreigners? Would you like to share some Chinese culture with others? If yes, please come and join us to play host to our foreign friends.

• Offer some traditional Chinese snacks, turnip cake, rice cake for participants to have a try
• Share the story and culture of Chinese New Year
• Teach how to say the blessings in different languages

Fun Fun Chinese New Year

Sham Shui Po, a hidden gem in city, is a culturally diverse area with a predominantly working-class population of over 380,000. It witnessed the growth and transformation of Hong Kong from a small fishing village into an entrepot, and then a financial hub.

In the 3-hour walking tour, we took international students through the history of the district and tried some delicious street food togethter!

The Exchange Romance – Rakbo The exchange romance will sneak up on you, and it'll sneak up on you HARD. As someone who was never a romantic, I never expected to find love abroad.

International Cultural Festival---French Movie Night
Bonjour (Hello)! Do you know who Édith Piaf is? She is a popular French singer and actress. We are going to show a musical film called “La vie en rose” which talks about her life on “International Cultural Festival--French Movie Night” with details as blow. The movie is spoken in English with English subtitles.

International students, exchange students and local students joined the P**n Choi Feast at Tsang Tai Uk village on the 8th day of the Chinese New Year. They enjoyed the festive traditions in the walled village in Hong Kong and visited the ancestral hall of the village. Stay tuned for more international activities in the college!
