本校管弦樂團喜奪「2026環球傑出青年音樂家比賽 - 影片比賽」西樂合奏團體組別亞軍

本校同學於校際音樂比賽中再創佳績！在由香港國際音樂文化發展協會主辦的「2026環球傑出青年音樂家比賽 - 影片比賽」西樂合奏團體組別中，本校管弦樂團表現卓越，憑藉出色的音樂詮釋與團隊合作精神，榮獲 亞軍 殊榮。

是次比賽中，本校管弦樂團演奏了由著名作曲家Robert W. Smith創作的樂曲 “The Tempest”，樂團成員以精湛的技巧及富感染力的演繹，成功展現作品的戲劇張力與音樂層次，獲得評審一致肯定。

此項殊榮充分反映本校在音樂教育方面的努力與成果，亦展現學生對藝術的熱誠與堅持。本校對管弦樂團全體成員及指揮吳騰雲先生的辛勤付出致以衷心祝賀，並期望同學們未來繼續精進技藝，於更多舞台上發光發亮！

由教育局課程發展處舉辦、為期三天的「香港國際視覺藝術教育研討會2026」已於5月14-16日在香港中央圖書館舉行。本校中五級盧同學、何同學，以及中三級陳同學、蔣同學、黃同學、李同學、陸同學的優秀設計作品，成功入選並於研討會期間展出。

該研討會匯聚本地及海外視覺藝術與設計界專家學者，並獲13所本地大專院校及學術夥伴支持。本校同學的作品在展出期間，獲得了參觀者、與會學者及業界專家的一致讚賞，展現出紮實的創作能力。

此外，中四級朱同學亦在「留學香港封面設計」比賽中獲得優異獎。

此次展出與獲獎，不僅是對參展同學視藝潛質與能力的確切肯定，亦展示了他們在創作道路上的階段性成果。

同時，本校5位中三及中五同學亦參加了研討會舉辦的工作坊，跟隨本地大專院校的教授及專業人士，學習數字舞台中的媒體美學，和如何視覺化設計草圖，從實踐中接觸真實的舞台器材和應用設計思維，同學都在設計創新的體驗中獲益良多。

Magic in the Air: Time to Talk Public Speaking Competition 2025-2026
Our students cast a spell of inspiration over the judges at this year’s Time to Talk Public Speaking Competition (2025-2026), achieving an impressive Second Prize! Organised by the Regional NET Coordinating Team (RNCT), NET Section, CDI, Education Bureau, the competition is a platform for talented orators. Representing our school were four brilliant speakers: Ariel Wong (5S), JimmyWong (5S), Jasmine Tsang (3S), and Elvis Chan (3S). Together, the team combined deep scientific research with a touch of wizardry to deliver a captivating presentation titled "Lumos: The Science of the Spark."

The performance explored the biological marvel of bioluminescence and the psychological power of the Galatea Effect. By connecting deep-sea survival to human potential, the team spoke powerfully about overcoming the "darkness" of exam pressure and mental health challenges through the"recalibration" of self-expectations.

The judges were particularly captivated by the team’s creative flair, noting that the use of Harry Potter-style wands and the interactive "LUMOS!" shout with the audience left a powerful, lasting impression. We are incredibly proud of Ariel, Jimmy, Jasmine, and Elvis for their hard work and their remarkable ability to "spark light" into the hearts of the audience.

女子排球隊成員代表中國香港參與全國青少年排球錦標賽

EMI Drama Fest 2026: Shining on Stage

Our English Drama Team students delivered a commendable performance at the EMI Drama Fest 2026, organized by The Association of English Medium Secondary Schools in the Modern Category I, showcasing their talent, dedication, and theatrical excellence.

Amy brought remarkable depth and nuance to the role of Phoebe, earning her the Outstanding Supporting Actress award; while Hazel's compelling portrayal of the Therapist captivated the adjudicators, securing her the Star Performer title. Beyond individual accolades, the production itself was recognized for its strong direction, polished ensemble work, and remarkable command of spoken English.

We extend our gratitude to all cast members, backstage crew, and teacher trainers for their dedication and countless hours of rehearsal. Beyond the awards and trophies, this festival is about the courage to step into another's shoes and bring a story to life. Through active and dedicated practice, our students have not only delivered a remarkable performance but have also significantly enhanced their spoken English and their ability to express themselves confidently in a second language. We hope these achievements inspire more students to audition for next year's English drama production!

Adventurer Benedict Allen Inspires SKHCYSS Students

In May, the English Department of SKHCYSS hosted the renowned adventurer Benedict Allen, whose extraordinary stories brought the spirit of adventure vividly to life for more than 200 S2 and S3 students.

Through hearing the story of Benedict Allen, our students were transported around the world — from rivers, to jungles and deserts — learning how explorers must integrate with different cultures, manage risks, and embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.

Allen’s experience captivated the audience, whether being pursued by hitmen or stitching up a wound with his boot‑mending kit. These tales left our students in awe, showing that adaptability and courage to take calculated risks are essential qualities in both exploration and everyday life.

The event included a talk, panel interaction, and lively Q&A sessions — with questions from a mystery box and directly from the floor — allowing students to engage deeply with Allen’s experiences. Some students also had lunch with Benedict Allen during which they exchanged views about the spirit of adventure.

In the post-event survey, more than 90% of students said that the talk was captivating, and more than 80% said the talk motivated them to become more adventurous or curious about the world.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Benedict Allen and the Royal Geographical Society – Hong Kong. This visit reminded us that facing challenges can open doors to growth, discovery, and resilience.

中四級全方位學習活動：齊來認識爵士樂—爵士樂賞析與示範表演

本校「音樂及表演藝術科」於 2026 年 5 月 5 日下午，特別邀請了知名音樂機構「相信音樂 Musicphile」到校，為全體中四級同學舉辦一場別開生面的爵士樂導賞及現場示範活動。

當日，機構安排了三位年輕爵士樂手親臨本校，透過現場演奏與生動講解，帶領同學走進爵士樂的世界。活動內容豐富精彩，包括：認識爵士樂的起源與發展歷史、介紹爵士樂常用的樂器；講解如何欣賞爵士樂及感受其獨特的節奏特色如搖擺節奏；即場演奏多首經典及現代爵士樂曲，並特別示範樂手之間如何透過即興演奏互相配合，展現爵士樂自由與默契並重的靈魂。此外，樂手更真摯分享了他們學習爵士樂的心路歷程，讓同學體會音樂路上的堅持與熱情。

是次活動旨在透過近距離的音樂體驗，提升同學對音樂的鑑賞能力，並從即興創作中感受藝術的創造力與溝通之美。感謝「相信音樂 Musicphile」樂手的帶領，讓同學度過了一個充滿靈感與節奏的下午！

77th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival
Our students delivered a commendable performance at the 77th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival (2025), showcasing their talent and dedication across multiple categories.
We are incredibly proud of all our participants, with special recognition for our top achievers in the Solo Verse Speaking (Secondary 4 Girls) category:

Both students delivered captivating renditions of the poem The Word Party by Richard Edwards. Hazel's dramatic interpretation earned her a prestigious invitation to perform at the Winners' Recital, which was open to the public at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in January—a truly remarkable feat.

STEAM Team成員於全港中小學環保風力發電機 STEAM 創作大賽 2025獲得佳績

本校 STEAM Team 成員於 2026 年 4 月 25 日參加了「全港中小學環保風力發電機 STEAM 創作大賽」，憑藉卓越表現，在眾多參賽隊伍中脫穎而出，囊括「最佳 A4 報告獎」冠軍及亞軍。

在準備過程中，同學們展現了極佳的自主探究精神，他們從深入的資料搜集出發，運用 3D 設計軟件反覆改良發電機模型，並透過 3D 打印技術將創意實踐，最終將研發歷程與數據分析轉化為具說服力的研究報告。

這次比賽不僅讓學生掌握了科技的應用技巧，更培養了他們解決問題的韌性與協作能力，見證了同學們在科學探索道路上的茁壯成長，收穫了比獎項更為寶貴的實踐經驗。

杭州科技文化研學暨姊妹學校交流圓滿完成

本校於2026年3月29日至4月1日舉辦「杭州科技文化研學暨姊妹學校交流團」，到訪姊妹學校——杭州長河高級中學。該校為浙江省重點中學之一，辦學歷史悠久，學風優良，致力培育具創新精神與家國情懷的新一代青年。本校衷心感謝長河高級中學的熱情接待與細緻安排，讓師生深切感受到濃厚情誼與溫暖關懷。

行程中，同學們參訪吉利汽車及阿里巴巴，親身了解國家在智能製造、創新科技及數字經濟方面的發展成果，拓闊視野，深化對科技實力與產業安全的認識；並遊覽西湖、京杭大運河等文化名勝，體會中華文化底蘊。

我校各校隊及學會的領袖及成員表現都非常積極，顯出合作性。由籌備分享至交流實踐均主動參與，共同策劃及互相支持，與當地同學合唱交流、共享歡笑，在真實體驗中見證國家不同領域發展與安全的重要性，彰顯主動學習的價值。
