Huge congratulations to our 6th Class who graduated from St Peter's NS today! 🎉 We are so incredibly proud of you and know that the future is bright for each of you! 😊 Thank you for wowing us with your orchestra performance today and for making us laugh and cry with your trip down memory lane! 🥲 We're very grateful to all the family members who joined us for this special day and to the parents who decorated the hall beautifully. Thanks also to the parents and Athlone Family Resource Centre who provided lovely treats for the graduates! 🤩 Finally, big thanks to all our staff members who helped our graduates grow and learn throughout their time in school!

5th Class enjoyed a wonderful school tour in Fort Lucan yesterday. A fun-filled day was enjoyed by all! 😎 🎢 🚌

🐦🌿 Being so close to the River Shannon, we are fortunate to have a strong connection to the natural habitat and we were delighted to take part in the Breeding Waders Schools Programme. Our 5th class students researched local wader species, created artwork for awareness signs, wrote a poem and presented our findings to the Breeding Waders EIP team.

We are proud to have been awarded Wader Ambassador School status, to receive a €250 grant and a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of our students’ hard work and commitment to protecting local wildlife.

We are delighted to announce that we have won our 22nd Curious Minds Science Award!

A huge thank you to Mrs Cleare for all her hard work, dedication and enthusiasm in coordinating the programme throughout the school.

Well done to all our pupils and staff who contributed to this wonderful success. We are very proud of this achievement and look forward to continuing our STEM journey together!

Congratulations to Eva Daly who won an art competition with The Planet Entertainment Centre Athlone! Her prize was a party in The Planet for the girls in 3rd and 4th Class last Friday. 🥳 The girls had a great time in the soft play area. There was great cheering when they were bowling and they finished off with some food. Thank you so much to The Planet for a great prize and thanks to Emer for looking after us so well! 😁

5th class really enjoyed leading P.E activities with the younger classes in St Paul's NS today. Lots of organising, teamwork and fun!

6th class put on their annual Talent Show today and it was amazing! The whole school was so impressed and entertained by all the different acts. Well done to all the students and teachers involved!

Well done to our fantastic 5th class on completing the Life Skills Programme with Mark Gannon. The children really enjoyed the programme and learned valuable skills along the way.
