Advaya Educational and Charitable Trust was registered on 30th June, 2020 by Nandini G and Murali R who are pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Jyothi Nivas and Kristhu Jayanthi College.
"Our education was supported by an NGO which provides free education to children from low income households. Grateful for the help and support we received, we want to give back to the community by helping underprivileged children who do not have easy access to education."
The COVID-19 pandemic severely affected coolie workers, daily wage labourers, migrant workers, leaving them unable to provide for their families. Children from these families often drop out of school and are pushed into the workforce to add to the household income.
"We established Advaya Educational and Charitable Trust to help such children in need."
Advaya currently houses 38 children in a rented facility in Halehalli, Bangalore, India. They provide them with daily meals and strive to offer a holistic education. Classes are taught in their native tongue and/or Kannada, the regional language. The current curriculum offers basic proficiency in Kannada, English and Mathematics. Advaya also engages them in extra-curricular activities including arts and crafts, dance, music, yoga and meditation, karate, theatre, stitching, carpentry, mud and clay art. Since most children have not had a consistent formal education, they are free to choose their areas of interest at Advaya and learn at the pace they are comfortable with.
"Our vision is to enable upward social mobility by educating these children and helping them realise their potential."

From aligning her schedule as a Speech Language Pathologist to including all things MABP, she works towards helping others reach a comfort level and work towards making a difference.
When asked about her experience being a part of this event, she said,"5. I absolutely love being a part of this event! I feel a sense of happiness and joy when interacting with kids who yearn to learn more and who are good to become valued members of the society tomorrow. It gives me hope that we're helping in making a better world."
Accha Sunna Yaar is a musical project in collaboration with The Connect Hut and rYMs Community.
In this short film, we explore how people within our peer group could be dealing with mental health issues and how the most we can do for our friends going through difficult times is by lending our ears and listen with the intent of understanding.

With this simple thought we hope to start a new initiative here at MABP!
We aim to impart some much needed information to the children out there with our new and revised curriculum under this heading. Teaching and educating has been our primary goal and we're going full throttle to make an impact by raising awareness of important yet often overlooked issues in the minds of the young impressionable kids out there.
