A Sneak Peek Into Our Classrooms… and What’s in the Making

We are building spaces where curiosity is encouraged, questions are celebrated, and every child feels seen.
This is a small window into our world — and a gentle promise of what’s to come.

At Project Shiksha, we believe digital transformation in schools is not about hardware — it’s about handholding, trust, and building confidence across the ecosystem. That belief came alive during a recent 2-day virtual training we conducted with teachers and volunteers from our partner organisation.

Under this training, we introduced them to Project Shiksha’s Digital Literacy Curriculum — a structured, age-appropriate, and impact-driven framework designed for last-mile learners. Together, we didn’t just explore tools; we explored how this curriculum can be brought alive in classrooms, how it fits into their on-ground realities, and how it can be sustained over time.

Our Tech mentor along with our strong advisory board acts as a catalyst for sustained growth at Project Shiksha.

Together with our partners, we are now working towards creating a shared roadmap — one that allows this curriculum to reach more students, be owned by local educators, and create consistent, measurable impact.

This is the heart of Project Shiksha’s model — we don’t just enable access to technology, we build the capacity of people and institutions to run, own, and sustain digital learning independently.

Because technology may arrive once — but guidance, empathy, and commitment are what make it meaningful and lasting.

As part of our Christmas Fundraiser ‘Be a Santa’, Project Shiksha brought festive cheer to two government schools by distributing food and stationery kits. 🎄✨

What made this initiative truly special was the spirit of corporate volunteering—with the team from Roxie and Helen’s Place, premium dine-in restaurant chains under PP Ventures, actively participating in the giving and engaging directly with our children.

At Project Shiksha, we design meaningful corporate volunteering experiences where employees don’t just contribute funds, but also time, skills, and heart—creating authentic, high-impact moments of connection at the grassroots.

At Project Shiksha, learning is never about theory alone — it’s about doing, building, and believing.

Recently, across all our Digital Lab Centres, our students participated in Learn to Code training, where they were introduced to block-based coding through hands-on, discussion-led learning.

🧩 They didn’t just drag blocks.
💡 They discussed logic, sequencing, and problem-solving.
🚀 They built programs, made mistakes, fixed them — and learned how to think.

For many of these students, this was their first interaction with coding. What they discovered was not fear, but confidence. Not complexity, but creativity.
This is what digital equity looks like — when children from last-mile communities are given the tools, mentorship, and safe spaces to explore the future.

We’re not just teaching coding.
We’re helping students see themselves as creators, innovators, and problem-solvers.

🎉 Computer Fests at Project Shiksha 🎉

As part of our digital learning initiatives, Project Shiksha recently organized Computer Fests across our centres.

💡 Purpose

To give students a platform to showcase their digital skills and projects.

Encourage children to explain their learning journeys, practice public speaking, and build confidence.

Make digital education fun through activities like typing races, quizzes, design contests, Scratch coding, and presentations.

👩‍🏫 Led by Trainers
Our dedicated trainers guided students in groups, helping them prepare simple, practical demonstrations of their skills.

👨‍👩‍👧 Community Engagement

Parents and school staff joined as guests, creating a supportive environment.

For many parents, this was their first time witnessing their child confidently present digital concepts.

One parent shared:
“I never thought my son would be able to stand up and explain something in front of others. This fest showed me how much he has grown in confidence.”

🚀 Expanding the Digital Learning Ecosystem! 🚀

Last week, Project Shiksha Foundation proudly inaugurated another Digital Shiksha Lab at GHPS Kuvempuranagara, Anekal.

The lab was unveiled by our Founder & CEO Smt. Neha Chawla, alongside Mr. Ram Prakash from Alcon, the school HM, and our committed team members Nirupama Kaushik & Srividya Vishwanathan.

“With 18 labs already established across Bangalore, expanding footprints in Jharkhand, and soon entering Tamil Nadu, Project Shiksha continues to bridge the digital divide. Our vision is to empower government school students with future-ready skills, fostering pathways to meaningful employment and social mobility.”

Enabling Last-Mile Communities with Labs, Devices & Curriculum Support

On 30th July 2025, Project Shiksha, in partnership with Hongirana Foundation, inaugurated a Digital Shiksha Lab at GHPS, Ganigarapalya, creating a new digital learning space for students who deserve equal access to technology.

Our Founder, Smt. Neha Chawla, was honoured to be the Chief Guest for the event and officially inaugurated the lab. The heartfelt cultural performance by the children added immense joy to the occasion as they embraced this new beginning with excitement and curiosity.

At Project Shiksha, we believe in empowering other grassroots NGOs by providing infrastructure, devices, and curriculum support, ensuring that digital literacy reaches even the most remote corners of our society. This collaboration with Hongirana Foundation is a reflection of that shared vision.
