When you see beauty everywhere, it's hard to not want to capture it. I've been enjoying going on walks, really taking time to notice the little things, finding frames that bring me joy and stealing moments that feel evocative and meditative.
Which frame feels most "you"?

The most peaceful boat ride ever. Taking in the magnificent views of the limestone karsts (mountains) and lush rice paddy fields β it all felt like a slowburn dream.
P.S.: it was such an interesting sight watching the Vietnamese locals row the boat with their feet so effortlessly; everyday is leg day for 'em :o

Kashmir had been on my list for quite a while and the way that I got to immerse myself and experience their day-to-day was quite profound. I had the privilege of shooting two stellar properties in Srinagar and here are some of my favourite stills.
We started our day jumping into the shikaras to catch the sunrise and experience the flower market. The locals come with the most fresh veggies and herbs, barter them with each other, and sell the rest. The flowers there were some of the most vibrant I've ever seen, and the personality of some of these boatmen selling you Kahwa tea or Palak would hands down beat any rich salesman. It felt like we interrupted a proper get-together, in the midst of a lake as they chatted and charmed us as we passed by.
Watching the sun glimmer across the Dal lake and reflect on the house boat walls, as I sipped on one-too many Kahwa's made me feel a sense of pure, aesthetically pleasing joy that was indescribable. The beautiful crispy cold weather was balanced with the real warmth of Kashmiri's and I can't wait to share more from this journey.

Today, I woke up in a jolt from a bad dream, sweating, gasping for air, on the verge of breaking down.
The dream (or perhaps, nightmare might I say?), waking up old in my bed and feeling dissatisfied with the life I've lived. The feeling of my stomach dropping, heart aching and mind running so frantically with the sadness of not having "lived in alignment".
I think every now and then, we are meant to shed parts of ourselves in order to grow. Easy right? Just drop parts of your entire identity that you've spent years shaping, moulding, creating just so you felt like you had a purpose. And one day, you wake up and just don't... fit. The life you so wonderfully created and identity you carefully built can all come shattering the second you've outgrown the version of yourself that doesn't serve you anymore β with all its lessons and blessings.
This was a beautiful memory [Sep 2023] that Google Photos reminded me of, where I genuinely felt my ego dissolve. I still remember the feeling of being surrounded by the majestic mountains, watching the sun rise yet again, having puppies seek shelter in my warmth and fall asleep in my embrace. Oh to feel so one with the universe irrespective of the plans ahead.
I think at the end of the day, we're all a little lost, seeking purpose and meaning from this journey we call life, but we're so afraid of letting go of what we've built up of ourselves. Today, I consider that nightmare a 'download', a reminder, a push to fix the cracks, before filling the cup. Letting go also means shedding all the lies we tell ourselves in order to stay comfortable and complacent. Stop lying to yourself and step into the version that you're going to meet, real soon. They're waiting, patiently. Don't make them wait too long. β₯οΈ

The ancient town of HΓ΄i An through my lens β
This quaint town was an absolute stunner! Known for its vibrant lantern-lit streets, I however was absolutely in love with the place during the golden hour. Just noticing the locals set up shop before all the hustle-bustle of tourists arrive at night, snacked on all the street cart munchies, shopped a bit for cute curios, took a million pictures, watched the prettiest sun set, and then finally took a boat ride and made a wish with a lantern let into the river.
Touristy much? Yes. Worth it? HELL YEAH! It was so wholesome. :')

π This year's Christmas recap β
β’ Cherished the feeling of waking up to the "beginning of the winter holidays" βοΈ
β’ Attended xmas mass with the fam-jam at the church my parents got married at.
β’ Had a food-coma inducing brunch at π€π» Still dreaming about their signature sushi π₯’
β’ Impromptu get-together w childhood family friends. Got out of my comfort zone and played the guitar hehe
β’ Ended the day with OG Karaoke
There's a bittersweet feeling this time of the year, and it isn't necessarily always cheerful for everyone. A gentle reminder that comparison is truly the thief of joy; and what matters is what feels right for you. Wishing you holidays filled with warmth, rest, and reset that feels aligned to you. Lots and lots of love π€

Hey IG Fam,
Can you believe it's that time of the year again? It hit me when I realized the date in a few days is going to be 12.12 and it's crazy how fast this year has flown by. Feels like the longest blink of an eye (haha, the irony).
Sometimes, talking to someone new can remind you just how much you've grown, and I needed that reminder. Here are my INS AND OUTS for the upcoming phases (indefinitely) β this time, feeling more aligned and alive than ever π€
Do you resonate with any of these? Tell me your in's and out's for the upcoming weeks below x

I find myself hunting for some of the work I've done in the past when it comes up in conversation and disappointed by how I didn't post about it. My work almost always makes it on the clients' pages, and is old news in my head a little too soon.
Here's a series from years ago β YUUNA, by , a collection of pearl gold-plated jewellery inspired by the moon. I remember feeling so aligned with this project and flowed with what I'd like to call "experimental minimalism".
Which shot is your favourite? I can't pick. x
