A dream doesn't become reality through magic. It takes sweat, determination and hard-work
The Rotaract club of SJCC has constantly proved this and has won the following awards at RADAR 2018, the Annual Rotaract District Awards, organised by Rotaract District Council 3190.
The awards secured are:
1. Best Professional Development Service Project - RotaMUN 2.0
2. Best Reporting Club in Rotaract District 3190
3. Certificate from the India Book of Records for being a Partner Club for Mega Trek v2.0 the largest gathering of individuals for Treaking at a single location.
The Club has also qualified for the Rotary International Presidential Citation 2017-2018.

A Panel Discussion in spirit of the the Human Rights Week on the topic “Protection against torture, arbitrary arrest and detention” was organised by the Rotaract Club of St Joseph’s College of Commerce. The panelists included esteemed guest Ms. Brinda Adige who has worked with a number of human rights organisations along with Mr. Gladson, faculty member of the college. Student panelists included Saniha, Musa and Kevin.
The panelists debated and discussed various issues and it was a truly fruitful session with the audience extremely engrossed in the discussion as well

With a brilliant response from our fellow Josephites, the club managed to collect 113 blankets during the collection drive from 4th to 9th December, 2017.
The club identified various areas around the city and started distribution on 11th December, 2017 post 9:00pm to homeless people sleeping on the roads. The club covered the following areas: Shivajinagar, Bamboo Bazar, Cantonment Railway Station, Mosque Road, East Railway Station, and Cox Town.

As the cold winter months set in, we need to think about those who are less fortunate and left out in the cold. The Rotaract Club of SJCC will be conducting a blanket drive from the 4th to the 9th of December! Come on out and lend a helping hand (and a blanket) to the ones in need.

On the 13th of November, in recognition of World Orphan Day, Rotaract Club of SJCC (RID 3190), in association with an internationally conducted initiative by The Rotaract Club of KC College (RID 3141), visited Bosco Mane in Bangalore. Rotaractors interacted with the children and played games like Dog and the Bone and Cricket to liven up their days. After a few games, the Rotaractors handed out juice boxes while the children were enjoying their daily snacks. It made for a truly memorable experience.
