We consider Gita as a holy scripture that needs to be preserved, worshiped and the one to be referred for answers during hard times. That is true. This is one approach. The other perspective could be understanding the value and application of these principles in the real world.
We have all been in a situation which makes us feel scared and nervous. We often tend to spoil these circumstances either due to inaction or because of haste. But if we imbibed the learning of Gita at a very young age in our minds, it would be much easier to tackle the uncertainties and challenges life throws our way.
The best time to inculcate right habits is childhood. The young minds have a burning desire to assimilate and learn whatever comes in their way. Hence, this is the perfect time for parents to introduce the right habits and perspective towards life.
How do we bring the intricate concepts of Gita into our children's life at the earliest? Is it possible to bring the principles like Dharma, Daya, Maya, Swadharma and so on to their level of understanding?
Kidz Gita is an initiative of Ankurams, to bring in a more friendly and simpler approach towards Bhagavad Gita. The objective is to help parents to present the important principles of Gita in a story form to make it easy for them to grasp the value and context to apply them in the real world.
