You know you're a plant nerd when the greatest excitement comes from getting a new batch of rare plants! Not shoes, not bags, not fancy clothes...just real, rare plants with foliage that can make flowers blush. I procured a few plants of Ctenanthe burle-marxii and can't get over their beautiful paintbrush-like foliage. Stay tuned to get yourself a kokedama if this beautiful indoor plant.

The Ruffle fan Palm or Lucuala grandis looks like a cross between an origami creation and a glass painting (look at how the light goes through the leaves!). This kokedama is 2.5 ft tall in entirety, and can be a showstopper in your home!

One of my favourite ferns, the Leather Fern, is a delicate but beautiful fern- much like a lady. On a side note, I strongly recommend you read Gerald Durrell if you love nature and animals.

This majestic Kerala Philodendron Hybrid Kokedama adorns a study table. Philodendrons, like ferns, enjoy a high moisture environment and hence thrive as a kokedama. I could only make one of this, but do you like it enough to suggest I make more?

Gotu Kola or Asiatic Pennywort is used to treat a myriad of conditions including anxiety, depression, fatigue and bacterial & viral disorders. It's also easy on the eye, as you can see in the form of this cute Kokedama! This perennial herb throws our runners which in this case gives her a medusa-like appearance. This ball has so many leaves on its sides that it's impossible for me to bind it up with twine. DM if you want to make her yours 😀

The entire setup has moved indoors tonight because there's work to be done and I'm terrified of critters outdoors in the night, especially cockroaches 😱 But here's the good news- BIG installation tomorrow and I am super excited for it! I have been crazy busy at work and have been itching to work with my plants and I get to do just that, finally 😀

My Sunday began with binding a Philodendron kokedama I had nearly forgotten had existed. She's nearly doubled in size and is looking forward to going into her new home :D
