April is Autism Awareness Month. Susie and I are thankful and appreciative of the staff at hospital who gave an opportunity to demonstrate the magic of dogs. It is very heartening to see spaces in India warming up to dogs.
Susie delighted everyone around her, so much so that we were also invited to another department that works with people who have spinal injuries.
our happy moment was when one lady who is undergoing a treatment for immobilised legs said I will show up regularly for my treatment if there is a dog around.
small steps... but hey we are moving forward.
And it is Susie who really deserves this certificate .

what a terrific morning ! We did an action packed program for the kids of the Bangalore chapter . The kids were so in love with Hobbes and Susie . Sports , friends , fun ,dogs and kindness - all of what this world needs!

From being present in the moment, to showing empathy, to laughing and learning about dogs - we hope this immersion made a difference.

can you identify that child who was extremely scared of dogs as she was once chased by a dog ?
Introducing kids to dogs in a safe environment , helping them understand a dog, ackowledging their emotions and letting them interact with dogs when they are ready can be effective in shaping their attitude , emotions and behaviour towards dogs.
Susie made such a difference to these young minds as they walked more confident and compassionate out of this program. All smiles at the end of the program :)

What a weekend ! Hobbes, Susie, and I along with Farah Shahed facilitated a session on empathy for a reflective group of and &D professionals. We all have a cognitive understanding of empathy; but is a being quality that emerges in interactions. In this unique workshop , participants tapped into their empathy reserve while working with dogs. letting go their fear, trusting, being mindful, communicating in the real way and finally unconditional happiness and love is what they experienced.

Super excited about this workshop that Hobbes, Susie, Farah Shahed and I are conducting at the IAF Bangalore session tomorrow .
