Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur has been awarded the 𝑴𝑰𝑻–𝑰𝑰𝑻 𝑲𝒂𝒏𝒑𝒖𝒓 𝑺𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒅 2025–26, a prestigious initiative in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was warmly welcomed by 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐚 𝐀𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐪, Dean of International Relations, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. During the visit, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐲 was by 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐣𝐞𝐞 from the Department of Management Sciences. Discussions were held on the of scholarly experience and expertise, as well as on developing mutual linkages through the exchange of faculty, staff, and students. The Office of International Relations at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur a warm 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭–𝐄𝐢𝐝 𝐮𝐥-𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐫 celebration on campus. The event brought together international students, staff and guests to share the joy of the .

𝐄𝐢𝐝 𝐮𝐥-𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐫 marks the joyous ending of a fasting during and served as a wonderful occasion to reflect on the spirit of and cross-cultural connections within the campus community. UG from Newcastle University, who are visiting for short academic projects, also joined the event along with 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐕𝐚𝐭𝐬.

Students from different and cultures enjoyed traditional food, shared their experiences, and greeted each other with “𝐄𝐢𝐝 𝐌𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐤.” The event showed the institute’s strong to inclusivity and global .

Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur successfully concluded the course held from 𝟗 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟏 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation - ITEC programme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The closing ceremony was led by 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐉𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐚, Acting Dean, OIR, who the participants on their successful completion of the course. On 𝟏𝟑 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, a delegation from Kobe University visited Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur to further strengthen the existing between the two institutions. Both universities already share a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on academic cooperation, joint research, and student exchange . The visit provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss new possibilities for collaboration in research and academic activities.

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur inaugurated a course on “𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀” from 𝟵 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟭 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation - ITEC programme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The aims to strengthen international through technical and exchange while enhancing ’ understanding of robotics, automation, and modern applications.

The is designed as a capacity-building initiative to develop technical and skills in robotics and related technologies, enabling participants to apply these concepts in , industry, and public-sector innovation. The program is coordinated by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗮 and 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗸𝘁𝗶 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗚𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗮 from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. A total of 16 , including government officials, diplomats, and researchers from #11 countries - 𝗥𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮, 𝗚𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮, 𝗞𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗸𝗵𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻, 𝗘𝗰𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿, 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗭𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘄𝗲, 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗶, 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮, 𝗦𝗿𝗶 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗮, 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗮, and 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘂𝘀 are in this course.

The IITK-RISE Internship Program offers foreign students the opportunity to participate in a 6-8-week offline internship between May-July 2026 at IIT Kanpur. Students will be mentored by IITK faculty and will have an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research across various domains.
