Stakeholder Meet on Medicinal plants on 8th and 9th March, 2025- A two-day Stakeholders’ Meet was organized on 8th and 9th March 2025 to promote the sustainable development, conservation, and trade of medicinal plants. The primary objective of this meet was to bring together farmers, entrepreneurs, scientists, policymakers, and other stakeholders on a common platform to discuss the latest policies, schemes, and scientific innovations related to medicinal plants. On the first day 8th March, 2025, the stakeholder meet was organized at the Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan (CBPACS), Najafgarh, New Delhi. Under this programme 120 rural farmers, farm women from G B Nagar, Bulandshahr and Najafgarh area including officials from NMPB, scientists, Ayurvedic practitioners, industry representatives were participated. On second day, the programme was conducted at Village Eklaidi, B B Nagar, Bulandshahr. The program also included demonstrations on post-harvest handling, covering timely harvesting, shade drying, storage techniques, and basic value addition processes. Experts highlighted how these steps are crucial in retaining the therapeutic properties of the herbs and enhancing their commercial value.

Famers visit at Patanajli Diya Pharmacy, Haridwar on 27th & 28th March, 2025- A field visit was organized by the ACAES under the guidance of Dr. Neetu Singh, Principal Investigator for a group of 20 farmers at Divya Pharmacy, Patanjali Yogpeeth, Kankhal, Haridwar, Uttarakhand on 27th & 28th February, 2025 under NMPB project. At Patanjali Divya Pharmacy, farmers observed scientific practices for harvesting, drying, grading, and storage, along with insights into quality control and processing of herbal raw materials. In addition, the farmers have also visited the Patanjali Food and Herbal Park to see the medicinal plants processing units such as juice extraction, essential oils distillation, herbal cosmetic production, food product processing, and packaging lines.

Amity Centre for Agricultural Extension Services, Amity University Noida organized a one day farmer training program on "Capacity building of young farmers and rural women on medicinal plants" at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bulandshahr under the National Medicinal Plants Board Project. The main objective of this program was to provide information related to cultivation, management and marketing of medicinal plants. 60 young farmers and rural women, NMPB, Amity University and KVK scientists participated in this training. Dr. Neetu Singh, Center Incharge, Amity Center for Agricultural Extension Service, explained the objectives of the projects and discussed the relevance of medicinal plants. Dr. Reshu Singh, Office Incharge, KVK, Bulandshahr while highlighting the importance of the program, said that cultivation of medicinal plants can become a profitable option for farmers. After this, Dr. Laxmikant Saraswat, Scientist, KVK, Bulandshahr gave information about pre-harvest and post-harvest management techniques of medicinal plants. Dr. R. Murugeswaran, Deputy Advisor, NMPB a section of Ministry of Ayush, Government of India while explaining the scheme and programs of the ministry of ayush highlighted the possibilities of value addition and marketing of medicinal plants. After this, Ravindra Kumar, agricultural entrepreneur, gave technical information about processing and product development of medicinal plants. Shri Roshan Lal, Sr Research Officer, Amity gave detailed information about the integrated farming system of medicinal plants.

देश के किसानों के योगदान को सम्मानित करने और उनके परिश्रम को सराहने के लिए प्रतिवर्ष 23 दिसम्बर को राष्ट्रीय किसान दिवस मनाया जाता है। इस दिन को भारत के पाँचवें प्रधानमंत्री, माननीय चौधरी चरण सिंह की जयंती के रूप में भी मनाया जाता है जो किसानों के लिए समर्पित थे। किसान दिवस न केवल उनके योगदान को याद करता है, बल्कि हमें यह किसानों के संघर्षों को समझने और उनकी समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए मिलकर काम करने की प्रेरणा देता है।
एमिटी कृषि प्रसार सेवा केन्द्र, एमिटी विश्वविद्यालय उत्तर प्रदेश, नोएडा किसानों के सशक्तिकरण और कृषि के सतत् विकास को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रतिवर्ष कई महत्वपूर्ण कार्यक्रम आयोजित करता हैं। इन कार्यक्रमों में आधुनिक कृषि तकनीकों, एकीकृत कीट प्रबंधन तकनीक, फसल उत्पादन में वृद्धि, जलवायु परिवर्तन अनुकूलशीलता और किसानों की आय को बढ़ाने के लिए नवीन उपायों पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाता है। एमिटी कृषि प्रसार सेवा केन्द्र का प्रयास है कि प्रत्येक किसान आत्मनिर्भर बने और कृषि क्षेत्र को सशक्त बनाए। ‘‘आधुनिक खेती सशक्त किसान जय जवान जय किसान‘‘
