Iran waives Hormuz transit fees for 60 days — but ships must get prior clearance.

Iran has decided to waive the usual transit fees for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz for the next 60 days, aiming to keep oil and trade supplies flowing without additional costs.

However, for security reasons, vessels will still be required to obtain prior clearance from Iranian authorities, allowing Tehran to monitor traffic and maintain safety in this strategically important waterway.
