What Children Teach Us: Yagya Project – Week 3 Summary
Week 3 of the Chiranjeev Gurukul – CS Vittal Memorial Trust – SVGHE Yagya Project was filled with creativity, joy, reflection, and learning for the 15 participating children and their teachers. Using Chiranjeev Gurukul’s engaging 7S methodology, the sessions combined stories from the Mahabharat, Puranas, and Tenali Ramakrishna with activities that built confidence, communication, teamwork, and expression.
Through storytelling and role-play, the children explored important values like *Samvedana* (sensitivity) and *Sadbhavana* (goodwill). A special “Dharm” activity encouraged them to reflect deeply on Nature’s role by imagining what the world would be like if elements such as trees stopped fulfilling their purpose.
The children were also inspired by stories of real-life changemakers like Annadorai Rickshawwalla and Shrikanth Bolla, helping them understand the difference between service driven by agenda and selfless Seva. Activities like Laughter & Dance Yoga, self-appreciation exercises, and silent acts of Seva further nurtured joy, self-worth, and empathy.
A major highlight of the week was the “Dream Company” activity, where the children imagined and presented companies rooted in Seva — complete with vision, logos, slogans, jingles, and benefits. The exercise beautifully brought out confidence, collaboration, imagination, and leadership potential.
As facilitators, the experience also became a profound learning journey — reminding us to participate joyfully, embrace uncertainty with curiosity, cherish togetherness, and remain fluid in learning and growth.
Glory to our Purvacharyas! Uttishth Bhaarat!🙏🏽🇮🇳
True inclusion begins with children!
Chiranjeev Gurukul – CS Vittal Memorial Trust – SVGHE Yagya Project: Week 2
CS Vittal Memorial Trust and Chiranjeev Gurukul have come together to support students of Swami Vivekanand Gurukul with vocational skills, life skills, and timeless Bharatiya wisdom through the 12-weekend Yagya Project.
In Week 2, through engaging stories like the Mouse Merchant from the Jatak Tales and inspiring stories from the Mahabhaarat, children explored the values of Dharm and Seva in simple, meaningful ways.
The highlight was the enactment of the Mouse Merchant story, where students joyfully played different roles while learning teamwork, communication, planning, confidence, and community spirit.
The children also discovered inspiring Indian innovations such as UPI, metro trains, geo-satellites, and vaccines, while enjoying activities, shloks, presentations, and even Laughter Yog sessions!
These young boys and girls are growing in confidence, expression, and self-belief with every joyful experience and reflection.

At Vikarabad, and conducted a vibrant KathaShaala session with 150 children.
The Grade 10 students undergoing the Yagna Program beautifully demonstrated two powerful stories using the Sabha and Samkrida methodology — bringing learning alive through expression, reflection, movement, and participation.
🌳 The first presentation was the story of the Bodhi Tree from the Hitopadesha, inspiring children to reflect on awareness, patience, and growth.
🐢 The second presentation was the classic story of the Four Friends from the Panchatantra, highlighting friendship, collaboration, and intelligence.
Adding depth to the experience, the children also practiced Yog Asanas connected to the stories:
Vrikshasan in sync with the Bodhi Tree, helping them experience balance and rootedness.
Shashankasan inspired by the turtle from the Panchatantra story, encouraging calmness, withdrawal, and reflection.
The session became a beautiful blend of Katha, Yog, Sabha, and Samkrida — where stories were not merely heard, but experienced through body, mind, and collective participation.

A young manager once asked his mentor, “Sir, what makes someone a true leader?”
The mentor didn’t answer. He handed him two cups of tea. “Take this to your team.”
Confused, the manager did it anyway.
Something shifted.
People paused. Conversations softened. There was a quiet ease in the room.
Over time, he noticed himself changing too: listening more, deciding less.
And the team began to perform better.
When he returned, he said, “I think I understand… leadership isn’t about being served.”
The mentor simply smiled.
From this, a question comes to my mind:
If leadership is really about serving, why is it so hard to practice in everyday work?
What’s your take on this? Do share your thoughts.
