🚨 BREAKING: US-Iran Peace Deal Expected This Weekend — Here's What It Means for Monday's Market
By Prakash Janawade | AMFI Certified - For Mutual Fund Investment contact us on 7721912244.
This weekend could change everything for Indian markets.
President Trump declared on Friday — "We have reached a great settlement with Iran. Only the document remains to be finalized." That single statement sent Sensex surging 1,695 points and Nifty up 461 points in one session. The formal signing is expected as early as Sunday.
What's in the Deal?
✅ Strait of Hormuz to reopen — free oil shipping resumes
✅ Iran gets sanctions relief — can sell oil freely
✅ 60-day ceasefire with nuclear talks to follow
What Happens to Oil?
Brent crude is sitting at ~$98/barrel — 30% above pre-war levels. The moment this deal is confirmed, expect an immediate 5–10% drop in crude prices as 100+ million barrels of stranded supply floods back into the market.
For India — the world's 3rd largest oil importer — this is massive. Lower oil = lower inflation = more RBI rate cuts = stronger markets.
Monday's Market — Who Wins, Who Doesn't
🟢 Big Winners: Aviation (IndiGo), Auto (Maruti, M&M), Banks (HDFC, Bajaj Finance), Paints (Asian Paints, Berger)
🔴 Under Pressure: ONGC, Oil India — lower crude hurts their realization
⚠️ Don't Get Carried Away
The deal is NOT signed yet. Israel hasn't officially acknowledged the ceasefire. Trump's own signals have been mixed. If the deal falls through, Nifty could give back Friday's entire gain.
Wait for confirmation before taking large positions. First 30 minutes on Monday will be key.
Stay sharp. Stay prepared. This is the kind of weekend that separates informed traders from the rest.

OYO’s IPO Approval: A Significant Milestone in India’s Startup Journey
The reported SEBI approval for OYO’s proposed ₹6,650 Crore IPO marks an important milestone not only for the company but also for India’s evolving startup ecosystem.
Over the past few years, OYO has experienced both rapid growth and significant challenges. The company faced intense scrutiny regarding its business model, profitability, and expansion strategy. However, its recent financial performance suggests a remarkable turnaround, with the company reportedly achieving profitability for two consecutive years.
Why This IPO Matters
The proposed IPO could value OYO at approximately US$7 Billion, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s ability to scale its technology-driven hospitality platform.
Today, OYO operates across more than 35 countries, managing over 23,000 hotels and 224,000 homes globally. Its asset-light business model enables rapid expansion while limiting capital-intensive investments traditionally associated with the hospitality sector.
Strategic Growth Beyond India
OYO’s recent acquisitions, including Motel 6, Studio 6, and CheckMyGuest, demonstrate its ambition to strengthen its international footprint and diversify revenue streams.
These acquisitions may help the company gain access to established customer bases and operational expertise in key global markets.
Strong Institutional Backing
The company continues to attract attention due to support from globally recognized investors and strategic partners, including Airbnb, Microsoft, and SoftBank.
Such backing has played a crucial role in OYO’s growth journey and provides credibility as the company prepares for public market participation.
Key Takeaway for Investors
The IPO approval highlights OYO’s transformation from a fast-growing startup into a potentially mature, publicly listed enterprise. While challenges remain, the company’s focus on profitability, technology, and global expansion makes it one of the most closely watched IPO candidates in the Indian market.
As always, investors should evaluate the company’s financials, growth prospects, competitive position, and valuation carefully before making any investment decisions.
