Vermi Compost Activity

To promote environmental awareness and sustainable waste management practices, the Eco Club organized a Vermi Compost Activity for students.
The activity aimed to provide practical knowledge about the recycling of biodegradable waste and its role in environmental conservation.

Students actively participated by bringing biodegradable kitchen waste from their homes, including fruit and vegetable peels. A transparent container was prepared using layers of coco peat and organic waste, and earthworms were introduced to demonstrate the vermi composting process. Through this hands-on activity, students gained a better understanding of how organic waste can be naturally converted into nutrient-rich compost.

The activity was both informative and engaging, encouraging students to adopt eco-friendly practices and develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment. Such initiatives play a significant role in nurturing environmentally conscious citizens and promoting sustainable living.

An enriching CBSE in-house workshop was successfully organised at the auditorium of The Daffodil School for the teaching faculty with the objective of enhancing professional competencies and strengthening classroom practices. The workshop was conducted under the expert guidance of Mr. Ashu Jain, who is an Assistant Professor at Amity University and a distinguished Resource Person of Central Board of Secondary Education.

The central theme of the workshop was “Value Education and Classroom Management,” focusing on the importance of nurturing moral values, discipline, empathy, and positive behaviour among students. During the interactive session, Mr. Ashu Jain shared innovative teaching methodologies, effective classroom management techniques, and practical strategies to create a positive and student-friendly learning environment.

He emphasised that value-based education plays a vital role in shaping responsible citizens and developing emotional intelligence among learners. Teachers actively participated in discussions, activities, and brainstorming sessions, making the workshop highly engaging and insightful.

The management of The Daffodil School expressed gratitude to the resource person for delivering such an inspiring and knowledgeable session.
