Stop Guessing. Start Sieving. 🗂️✨
Yesterday, I told you about the "Patchwriting" trap that kills CSEC grades. Today, I’m showing you the way out.
Meet the Grade 1 Summary Writing Workbook. This isn't a 200-page textbook that you’ll never finish. As a specialist, I know you don't need more "fluff"—you need a framework. I have distilled my entire Sieve Method into a high-impact digital toolkit designed to do one thing: turn a messy passage into a clinical, Grade 1 summary.
What’s inside the Workbook?
✅ The 3-Step "Sieve" Blueprint (Identify, Categorize, Reconstruct). ✅ Before & After Transformations: See exactly how I turn "Wordy" paragraphs into "Distinction" sentences.
✅ The "Zero-Waste" Vocabulary List: The specific transition words examiners look for.
✅ The Final Checklist: 5 questions to ask yourself before you hand in your paper.
The Price: $3,100 JMD.
For the cost of one family takeout meal, you are installing a system that stays with you (or your child) for a lifetime of professional communication.
The Workbook launches tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM.
If you want to upgrade your experience, I’ll also be releasing the Mastery Bundle, which includes a Video Masterclass where I personally walk you through an entire past paper summary using the method.
The Priority List is already growing. If you didn't comment yesterday, there is still time.

The "Patchwriting" Trap: Why 40% of your marks are already in danger. 🛑📉
Most students lose a massive chunk of their English A marks before they even finish the first paragraph of their summary.
They think they are doing the right thing. They read the passage, they change a few words here and there, and they move a couple of sentences around. In their minds, they are "paraphrasing."
In the examiner’s mind, you are Patchwriting. Patchwriting is the #1 reason students who "understand the passage" still walk away with a Grade 3. It tells the marker that you don't actually have mastery of the language—you’re just "redecorating" the author's words instead of extracting the value.
If you aren't sieving the information, you aren't summarizing. You are just repeating.
I’ve spent the last month taking my signature 1:1 "Sieve Method"—the same framework that took my adult re-sitters from Grade 4s to Grade 1s—and turning it into a step-by-step digital toolkit.
No more guessing. No more "moving words around." Just a clear, clinical system for a Distinction.
The "Grade One Summary Writing Workbook" officially launches this Saturday. I am opening a "Priority List" for those who want to stop the Grade 3 cycle early.

From 3 Failed Attempts to a Grade 1 🩺📖
Last year, I met a student who was stuck in the "Grade 4 Trap."
She had sat CSEC English A three times. Three times, she opened her results to find the same disappointing news. She didn't understand how to sieve a summary or structure an essay that met the examiner's standards.
She was more than frustrated; she was heartbroken. Her dream of studying Nursing was slipping away, and the weight of "failing again" was starting to feel permanent.
Then, we changed the strategy.
She joined my 1:1 Elite Mentorship. We didn't just "study English"; we re-wrote her communication DNA. In just 12 weeks, she mastered the frameworks, understood the rubric, and walked into that exam room with clinical confidence.
The result? A Grade 1 Distinction.
Today, she isn't "thinking about" her future—she is living it as a Nursing student at the University of the West Indies (UWI).
I’m doing something different today. If you (or your child) are stuck in that same cycle of frustration, I want to help you break it—right now.
📸 Send me a photo of your (or your child’s) last English Summary or Essay in my DMs. I will review and send you 3 private voice notes telling you EXACTLY why it’s not a Grade 1 yet.
No charge.
No commitment.
Just the truth.
Stop guessing why you’re losing marks. Let’s get you on the path to UWI.

📘 CSEC English: Why Good Students Still Lose Easy Marks
One of the most common reasons students fail CSEC English is not weak grammar or poor vocabulary.
It is misinterpreting the question.
Every year, students:
>Write strong essays that do not answer the question
>Lose marks for irrelevant points
>Ignore command words like discuss, explain, describe, or outline
>Miss the focus of comprehension and summary questions
The CSEC English syllabus rewards precision, not just effort.
If a student does not:
✔ Identify the task
✔ Recognize the command word
✔ Stay within the scope of the question
They automatically lose marks—even when their English is good.
This issue affects:
• Essay writing
• Comprehension
• Summary writing
• Argumentative and descriptive responses
📉 Result: Students work hard but still underperform.

Many CSEC English students lose easy marks on Summary Writing — not because they cannot read, but because they do not know what to remove.
The biggest mistake I see every year:
Students try to shorten the passage instead of extracting the key ideas.
A strong CSEC summary requires three things:
• Selecting only points of significance
• Organising ideas logically
• Rewriting clearly in your own words (no copying)
One simple rule I teach my students:
👉 If a sentence can be removed and the paragraph still makes sense, that sentence does not belong in the summary.
I use a structured method that helps students consistently score higher in Paper 2, Section A.
📄 I have created a 1-page Summary Writing guide that breaks this method down step by step.
Comment “SUMMARY” below and I will send you the FREE Summary Writing Guide.
Perfect for:
✔ Grade 11 students
✔ Adult CSEC candidates
✔ Parents supporting exam preparation

I'll do it next year" is the most expensive sentence in your vocabulary. 🔑
How many promotions have you scrolled past because you're missing that English A or HSB grade? How many nursing or teaching applications are sitting in your "Drafts" folder?
Re-sitting as an adult isn't about "going back to school." It's about clearing the path to your future. Whether you need HSB for a medical pivot or English A for university matriculation, my Career-Bridge programs are designed to get you over the finish line with your dignity and your schedule intact.
The May 2026 window is closing. Don't let another year pass you by.

Your career shouldn't be on hold because of a 3-hour exam. 💼⏳
Let’s be honest: You don’t have 4 hours a day to spend with a textbook. You have a job, a family, and a life that doesn't stop just because the CSEC calendar says it's January.
Most adult re-sitters fail because they try to study like "students"—reading pages of notes and hoping something sticks. That is a recipe for burnout.
In my Professional Re-sit Track, we use the Executive Sieve Method.
We don't study "harder"; we study the structure of the exam.
✅ We focus on the 20% of the syllabus that gives you 80% of the marks.
✅ We use templates that cut your essay-planning time in half.
✅ We meet in a mature, adult-only environment—no distractions, just results.
Stop "trying" to find time and start using a system that respects the time you have.
I have 3 slots left this weekend for a Free 15-Minute Strategy Call specifically for adult learners. Let’s look at your work schedule and map out a 12-week path that actually works for you.

The "Grade 3" Trap: Is your child just moving words around? 🚩
It’s exactly 12 weeks to the CSEC English A exam.
Here is a hard truth: If your child is still "summarizing" by simply changing a few words in a sentence, they aren't paraphrasing. They are Patchwriting.
In the examiner’s room, patchwriting is a one-way ticket to a Grade 3. Why? Because it proves the student hasn't actually processed the information. They are just "redecorating" the original text instead of sieving it for meaning.
The result? ❌ Lost marks for expression. ❌ Lost marks for focus. ❌ A frustrated student who "felt like they wrote a lot" but didn't hit the rubric requirements.
English A isn't a test of how many words you know; it’s a test of Executive Communication. I teach my students the Sieve Method—a systematic way to strip away the "fluff", identify the "Golden Points," and rebuild a summary in their own professional voice.
I want to help you break the Grade 3 cycle today.
I’ve put together a 1-Page "Sieve Method" Cheat Sheet. It’s the exact framework I use to move students from "confused" to "concise" in under 15 minutes.
👇 Comment "SIEVE" below and I’ll DM you the PDF for free.
