Names are not just names. They carry meaning, identity, influence, and sometimes even spiritual significance.
Throughout the Bible, God often changed people's names when He wanted to change their identity, destiny, or assignment.
- Abram became Abraham, "father of many nations" (Genesis 17:5).
- Sarai became Sarah, reflecting God's covenant and promise (Genesis 17:15).
- Jacob, whose name was associated with being a supplanter, became Israel after his encounter with God (Genesis 32:28).
- Saul became known as Paul as he stepped into his apostolic assignment to the Gentiles (Acts 13:9).
Names matter because they often communicate identity and purpose.
We also see another side in Scripture. When Daniel and his friends were taken captive to Babylon, their names were changed to reflect the gods and spiritual culture of the land:
- Daniel → Belteshazzar
- Hananiah → Shadrach
- Mishael → Meshach
- Azariah → Abednego
(Based on Daniel 1:6-7)
The intention was not merely administrative; it was an attempt to reshape their identity and separate them from their covenant heritage.
This teaches us that names should never be chosen carelessly.
Whether naming a child, a business, a ministry, or an organization, it is important to understand the meaning and implications of the name. Do not choose a name simply because it sounds beautiful, is popular, or is associated with success.
Many parents spend months preparing for a child's birth but never take time to understand the meaning of the name they are giving that child.
How do you know your name has a problem?
Look at the things you are fighting in your life, they are often the same things you have been fighting for a long time. In such cases, there are negative influences attached to your name in the realm of the spirit. Do your research, you may realize that it is your name that is being followed.
As believers, we should seek God's wisdom and direction concerning names.
Most importantly, every believer should take time to pray over their name, dedicate it to God, cover it with the blood of Jesus, and renounce any negative influence, covenant, or association that may be connected to it.
"Therefore God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow..." — Philippians 2:9-10
Above every name, influence, power, and identity stands the name of Jesus Christ.
Choose names prayerfully. Understand their meaning. Dedicate them to God. And let every name in your life come under the authority of the Name that is above every other name.

One of the most destructive weapons the enemy uses against people is uncontrolled anger. Anger is incredibly intoxicating.
It clouds judgment, weakens discernment, and causes people to act before they think. In a moment of rage, words are spoken that can never be taken back, relationships are damaged, opportunities are lost, and lives can be permanently altered.
Many people who are naturally kind and well-intentioned have made devastating decisions in moments of anger and spent years living with regret.
What took years to build can be destroyed in a few seconds of uncontrolled emotion.
This is why Scripture warns us not to be ruled by anger. While anger itself may be a natural human emotion, it becomes dangerous when it takes control of our hearts and actions.
God's will is never accomplished through uncontrolled rage, revenge, or emotional outbursts.
Before reacting, pause.
Before speaking, pray.
Before acting, seek wisdom.
A person who learns to govern their spirit is stronger than one who can conquer cities.
"For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God." — James 1:20.

Kuna roho zinazolishwa kupitia matendo hayo.
This is not a small matter
You are provoking God to anger.
You are giving drink offerings to the queen of heaven.
It will be so hard for you to stop and many die because of drunkadness and alcohol related issues like accidents, diseases, etc.
Others finally die poor even if they were very rich because a spirit is involved that is being fed every time they pour out the drinks on the ground in the name of sharing with their ancestors.
Your generation will suffer because of the consequences of your actions.
Jeremiah 7: 18- The children gather wood, the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger.
Don't let your generation suffer because of the decisions you are making today.
The Lord can still deliver you and turn your life around if you run to him.

Kiburi kinasema, “Sihitaji mtu.” Upendo unasema, “Wacha nirekebishe.”
Rudi. Tafuta amani. Sikizana.
Kwa sababu Mungu haruhusu chuki iingie mbinguni.

Hatred among believers is one of the enemy's most effective weapons. The people you struggle to love, avoid, resent, or constantly criticize may be the very doorway through which the enemy gains influence over your spiritual life.
Jesus did not say the world would know us by our gifts, titles, or positions. He said they would know us by our love for one another.
When bitterness, unforgiveness, and resentment are allowed to remain in the heart, they hinder our fellowship with God and rob us of spiritual peace. A believer cannot walk closely with God while carrying hatred toward those Christ died for.
Let us guard our hearts against offense and choose forgiveness over bitterness, love over hatred, and unity over division.
📖 "He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now." — 1 John 2:9
📖 "Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord." — Hebrews 12:14
📖 "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." — Ephesians 4:31-32
📖 "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." — John 13:35
May God help us to love one another genuinely, for where love reigns, Satan loses his ground.
