SIRHA was 1st established by a group of 4 medical students who had been inspired by the ideas of Prof. Senaka Bibile.
Prof. Indika Karunathilake and Prof. Manuj Weerasinghe who are currently professors at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo were among these 4 trailblazers of SIRHA.
It's a great honour for us to continue what they initiated even after about 30 years for the well being of society and nation.😊🔥

Prof. Senaka William Bible, the pharmacologist, the doctor, the humanist, the educationist, the socialist, the aesthetician, was such a personality who had a vision ahead of his time. We shall never see his like again. But his ideas will be reverberated and implemented by those who were and will be influenced by him.

What is SIRHA?

Students Involved in Rational Health Activities is a student-based society in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo which is dedicated to raising awareness on different aspects of healthcare among the university students and general public.
