A heartfelt appreciation to the PREFECT GUILD24/25 for their remarkable service in handling the large crowd at the Dhaldha Dhakma event. The distribution of water bottles and pandols to the visitors was truly commendable. This experience has been invaluable, providing our future leaders, especially the girls, with essential skills and exposure.

A special thanks to Madam Principal and the Prefect Guild for providing this wonderful opportunity for our students. It’s a proud moment for the entire Mahmudian family. Keep up the great work, and continue to shine!

Badi-ud-din Mahmud Girls' College celebrated the Prefects' Induction Ceremony: Titan '25, welcoming the new Head Board for the year 2025! Congratulations to the Head Prefect: Shafra Kamal Hassan, School Vice Captain: Mariam Nizam, School Games Captain: Bahja Hafeel, School Games Vice Captain: Mariyam Naloor, and their Prefects' Guild on their appointment, and we wish them all the very best for the year ahead!

This event was graced with the presence of the Chief Guest: Major General T.N. Majeed RSP USP ndc Isc, Director General Research Concept and Doctrine at the Sri Lanka Army Headquarters. We were also glad to have our esteemed Old Girl attending the event as Guest of Honour: Segu Zaneera Mohideen, Founder and Director of Insight College Panadura.

It is with immense respect and admiration that we honor the exceptional career of M.M.F.Rizna , a dedicated and inspiring educator whose service and contributions to the field of education have been truly remarkable.

- She began her journey on *April 5th, 1987*, as an Assistant Teacher, after joining the service based on the exam

- Schooled
- *Babul Hassen C.C., Warakapola* (OL and KG)
- *Zahira College, Mawanella* (Bio Science)

• *Education Qualifications*
- Completed a degree in English medium from *SLOU*.
- Obtained a *Post Graduate Diploma in Education Management* with a Merit pass.
- Successfully completed a Master of Education for Education Leaders

- In *2007*, after a limited examination, she was promoted to a *SLEAS Officer* (one of only 22 officers selected, with the distinction of being the sole Tamil medium representative).
- From *2008*, she worked as the *Asset Director* at the *Zonal Education Office* and was also in charge of Tamil Medium Schools in the zone, overseeing two leading national schools, *Giri/Madeena N.S.* and *Giri/Kekunagolla N.S.*.
- In *2014*, she became the *Principal* of a renowned National School in *Dharga Town*, which was established as the first *Central College for Muslim girls* in line with C.W.W. Kannangara’s vision.
- She was appointed as *Assistant Director* and *Deputy Director of Education* in December *2016* at the *Line Ministry*.
- In *2022*, she became the *Principal of Badi-Ud-Din Mahmud Girls' College (BMGC)* in Kandy, a leading girls' school.
- In *2024*, she served a temporary attachment to the *NWP Provincial Department of Education* and later to *Giri/Kekunagolla N.S.* at their request.
- She has also successfully completed her *Bachelor’s Degree in English Medium* from *SLOU*.
- *Postgraduate Diploma in Education Management*, awarded with a *Merit pass*.
- *Master of Education for Education Leaders*, successfully completed with excellence.

Throughout her career, she completed *20 years of service as a teacher* and *18 years in SLEAS*, advancing through numerous positions with excellence and remarkable dedication.

Her remarkable journey will culminate with her *retirement on 14th February 2025*, marking the end of an era of dedicated service to education.

Her leadership, dedication, and continuous commitment to the development of education have had a profound impact on the lives of many students and teachers alike. Her tireless efforts in shaping the educational landscape and fostering an environment of growth and learning have left an indelible mark.

As she steps into retirement, we extend our deepest gratitude and heartfelt appreciation for everything she has accomplished and for the inspiring legacy she leaves behind.

We wish Madam M.M.F.Rizna a peaceful, fulfilling, and joyful retirement. May this new chapter of your life be full of happiness, good health, and many new adventures. Your journey has been an inspiration to all of us, and your legacy will continue to guide future generations.

Congratulations to one of our most skilled past pupils, and one of the best artists Badi-ud-din Mahmud Girls' College has ever produced, on winning yet another prestigious art award!

M.J.H. Fathima Awrad won first place out of the artistic creations as well as the Cartoons Category, presented in the University category, at the Students' Literary Festival organized by the Literary Subcommittee of the Students' Union of the University of Peradeniya! Awrad has won all-island art awards consecutively for these three years of 2022, 2023, and 2024, and we as Mahmudians wish her all the very best going forward as well.

Congratulations to M.A. Rukkaiya!

We are incredibly proud to announce that our young Mahmudian, M.A. Rukkaiya from Grade 7, has won *Gold in Mai Muay* and *Silver in Muay Thalay* at the *IFMA Muay Thai Youth World Championship 2024* in the 12-13 age, 44kg category!

We wish her continued success as she makes both our school and Sri Lanka proud!

Congratulations to Mahmudian Interact on being awarded several prestigious awards and accolades at Pinnacle '24, organized by the Rotary Club of Kandy, along with the Interact Clubs!

Mahmudian Interact secured the Runners-Up Award for Best Installation amongst the Kandy Clubs, and the Award for Interact Project of the Month for the Ifthar Naeem '24 project, showcasing cultural engagement and a commitment to international understanding.

Mahmudian Interact was also acknowledged by the Pinnacle Organizing Committee for receiving the Grand District Award, reflecting our excellence in organization and leadership.
