Dear Sir/Madam,

On behalf of Inside J.J. RUMS, we respectfully present this petition for your kind consideration and action regarding a matter we believe is essential to the continued growth, safety, and modernization of our beloved institution — the acquisition of school buses for transportation purposes.

For many years, J. J. Roberts United Methodist School (JJRUMS) has earned and maintained a reputable name across Liberia. The school has produced responsible citizens, visionary leaders, and nation builders who continue to make meaningful contributions locally and internationally. With the level of prestige and excellence the school has built, we are convinced that it is time for the institution to elevate further by providing its own transportation services to students and employees.

Justification for the Purchase of School Buses

We present the following key reasons why this initiative is not only timely but necessary:

1. Improved safety and supervision:
A school-managed transportation system ensures that students travel under a safe and controlled environment instead of relying on commercial vehicles and motorbikes.

2. Reduction of lateness and absenteeism:
Many students experience delays due to transportation challenges. School buses will significantly reduce absenteeism and late arrivals.

3. Increased school enrollment:
Parents are more willing to enroll and retain their children in an institution that offers safe and reliable transportation. This will directly contribute to the school’s growth.

4. Convenience and support for parents and employees:
The buses will reduce stress for working families and provide an affordable and consistent transportation option for employees.

5. Revenue generation and sustainability:
Transportation fees can be structured to make the system self-sufficient:

Parents wishing to use the bus service may pay a route-based transportation fee.

Employees who choose to ride the bus may contribute affordably from their salaries.
This ensures long-term sustainability without financial burden on the school.

Proposed Start Up Plan

We respectfully propose that the institution begins with two buses, which will:

Address immediate demand

Stimulate higher enrollment

Strengthen the school’s public appeal

With time, the number of buses can be expanded based on demand and revenue generated.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The Administration wishes to inform you of the following important update:
On Friday, November 28, 2025, there will be no school for students from Nursery to Grade 10.

Only students of Grades 11 and 12 are expected to be in school on this day for their special African Cultural activity.

We kindly encourage all parents to take note of this schedule and make the necessary arrangements.
