Iran–Israel Conflict: A Clear and Thoughtful Summary
The conflict between Iran and Israel is not a conventional war, but a long-standing geopolitical and ideological rivalry. It traces back to 1979, when Iran’s Islamic Revolution overthrew the pro-Western Shah and replaced him with a regime that opposed Israel’s occupation of Palestine and declared it illegitimate.
Since then, Iran has positioned itself as a champion of the Palestinian cause, supporting resistance movements like Hezbollah and Hamas, while Israel views Iran as its most dangerous enemy, especially due to its nuclear ambitions.
This rivalry plays out through proxy wars, cyberattacks, assassinations, airstrikes, and regional power struggles — particularly in Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza. In 2024, for the first time in history, Iran launched a direct missile and drone attack on Israel, escalating the conflict to a new level.
Here’s a clear, concise, and intellectually grounded summary of the recent 2025 outbreak of war between Iran and Israel:
🔥 Who Started the War in 2025 — And Why?
June 12–13, 2025: Israel launched a preemptive air-and-drone strike Initiative dubbed Operation Rising Lion, targeting over 100 sites in Iran, including:
Natanz and other nuclear enrichment facilities.
IRGC missile bases.
Residences of senior military and nuclear personnel.
⚠️ Israel’s motives:
Believed Iran was on the brink of building a nuclear weapon, drawing on recent IAEA concerns over uranium stockpiles.
Sought to remove what it calls an existential threat, especially during a narrow diplomatic window when Iran was negotiating a nuclear deal.
🇮🇷 Iran’s Response;
Codenamed its retaliation “Operation True Promise III”, firing over 150 ballistic missiles and 100 drones at Israel.
Framed the move as a declaration of
Israel initiated the war with a preemptive strike aimed at crippling Iran’s nuclear and military potential, citing imminent danger. Iran retaliated forcefully, propelling the region into a state of open warfare.
■ What Should Muslims Do?
1. Stand for Justice, Not Sectarianism
This is not a Sunni–Shia issue. It is about oppression vs. justice.
We support the oppressed, not political agendas.
2. Pray, Reflect, and Repent
Turmoil in the Ummah is a reminder to return to Allah.
Strength comes not just from politics, but from faith and taqwa.
3. Educate and Speak with Wisdom
Be informed, share truth, and raise awareness without hate or ignorance.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The believer is not a person who slanders, curses, or speaks indecently.”
4. Promote Unity, Avoid Division
Focus on the Ummah’s common cause, not internal rivalries.
“Indeed, this Ummah is one Ummah, and I am your Lord — so worship Me.” (Qur’an 21:92)
Final Word:
This conflict reflects the wider struggle between truth and falsehood, oppression and resistance, ego and faith. As Muslims, we are called not just to take sides politically, but to embody justice, unity, and prophetic character — with our hearts, words, and actions.
📖 “O you who believe, stand firmly for justice, as witnesses for Allah, even if it is against yourselves…”
(Qur’an 4:135).
May Allah resolve this with ease, Ameen.

Eid al-Adha to all my followers.
May Allah accept our prayers and salat, Ameen.
In Islam, both free will and predestination (qadar) are affirmed.
■ Predestination: Allah has full knowledge and control over all things. “Indeed, all things We created with predestination” (Qur’an 54:49).Free Will: Humans are responsible for their choices. “Whoever wills – let him believe; and whoever wills – let him disbelieve” (Qur’an 18:29).
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) confirmed Allah’s decree (Tirmidhi 2516) but also emphasized human influence, such as upbringing (Bukhari 1385).
Free Will is one of those missed understood topics in the world. Allah knows and wills all things, but humans are accountable for their actions, balancing divine will with moral responsibility.
