Letter of Resignation as Quizzing Team Coach

Dear All:

I hereby write to formally resign as Coach of the William V. S. Tubman High School Quizzing Team. Due to my increasing involvement in various activities and responsibilities, I am no longer able to dedicate the time and attention required to effectively guide and support the scholars.

My journey with the team since 2023 has been a memorable and rewarding one. I greatly enjoyed working with the scholars, sharing knowledge, building friendships, and contributing to their academic growth. The experience required many sacrifices, both financially and in terms of time, but it was a journey I proudly embraced.
Although we faced several challenges along the way, we remained committed to excellence and were able to maintain the team's prestige. Among our achievements ,the team was being ranked among the top 3 quizzing schools in Central Monrovia. We were also privileged to train some of the finest young science students ,best female Mathematician , Best Male Mathematician and Historian in the region.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Principal for his unwavering support toward the team. May God's guiding hand continue to be upon him as he leads the institution to greater success.

To my scholars, I encourage you to accept, respect, and cooperate with any coach the school may appoint in the future. You will always remain my scholars, and I deeply appreciate the time we shared together. Although I will no longer serve as your coach, please do not hesitate to reach out whenever you need assistance. If it is within my ability, I will gladly extend my support.

Thank you all for your acceptance, cooperation, and the wonderful memories we created together. May God's blessings continue to rest upon each and every one of you.

Best Regards,
Signed:

At this point we need to pay key attention to stakeholders within our educational sector!

Currently, WAEC hasn’t provided SENIOR HIGH STUDENTS CALCULATORS!

The Principal of the Number One High School in Liberia writes.

“Education should be completely apolitical if we're to truly move forward. Now, with no thought of any political party's attachment or support, please read this short piece below......

The ongoing difficulties surrounding the regulation of private and faith-based schools in Liberia continue to expose the urgent need for government intervention and subsidies. Many of these institutions are struggling financially, yet they remain responsible for providing quality education, paying teachers, and maintaining academic standards.

A clear example is the withholding of students’ identification or examination numbers for those expected to sit the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) beginning Monday, June 1, 2026.

While such actions may appear harsh and insensitive, many schools often resort to these measures because they depend heavily on tuition payments to survive and to compensate struggling teachers who continue to work under difficult conditions.
Unfortunately, parents and students become the direct victims of this unfortunate reality. At a crucial academic moment, families are placed under intense pressure to settle outstanding fees, regardless of their financial condition.

This situation not only creates emotional stress for students preparing for national examinations, but also reflects the broader challenges facing Liberia’s educational system.
If the Government of Liberia desires stronger control, accountability, and standardization within private education, then practical support through subsidies and educational partnerships must be considered. Registered institutions recognized by District Education Officers (DEOs) and County Education Officers (CEOs) are contributing significantly to national education and deserve meaningful governmental assistance.

Supporting private and faith-based schools is not merely an act of generosity; it is a national investment in educational stability, teacher welfare, and the future of Liberian children. This is going to help our educational sector well.
