Big shoutout to LMPS for keeping it real with us at IEMS! ๐ฅ We had an epic Fire Marshals drill where we got hands-on with making stretchers using everyday stuff like our sweaters - who knew they'd come in handy? ๐
We also leveled up our fire safety game with proper fire extinguisher techniques and learned about a new class of fire - proof that learning never stops! ๐
We even got a peek at tools used in major accidents, and trust us, you don't wanna be the one needing them ๐ฌ. Huge thanks to Ntate Molefi for sacrificing his holiday to teach us the ropes, and to all the students who showed up and showed out! This isn't just about being part of a student organization,, it's about building a safety culture because, let's be real, accidents don't take holidays ๐.
From unattended stoves to bigger mishaps, fire safety's no joke. We're hyped for our next drill (evacuation processes, anyone?๐) and we hope to see you there next academic year! Subscription fee is M20 for IEMS students, shirts are M190... but honestly, safety's priceless ๐. Thanks again, LMPS, and Ntate Molefi - you're the MVPs! ๐

Today, we gather to celebrate the life of Leanda Kala, a remarkable individual who left an indelible mark on our school community. As a student of IEMS, Leanda embodied the values of excellence, dedication, and passion.
Leanda's love for sports was contagious. He firmly believed in the power of sports to shape character and bring people together. As the coach of our netball team, he inspired us with his energy, his tactics, and his unwavering commitment to excellence. He demanded the best from us, and in doing so, he brought out the best in us.
But Leanda's impact went beyond the sports field. He was a true champion of our school, always willing to lend a helping hand, always ready to offer words of encouragement. He was a pillar of our community, and his absence will be deeply felt.
As we mourn his passing, we take comfort in the memories we shared with him. We remember his infectious smile, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering optimism. We remember his dedication to his studies, his passion for learning, and his commitment to excellence.
Leanda's legacy will live on in our hearts, inspiring us to be better, to do better, and to strive for greatness. May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to us all. We have lost an angel, but we have also been blessed to have had him in our lives.
May God comfort his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Rest in Eternal Peace, Siya๐โค๏ธ
