Logistics SIIT, Thammasat University

Graduate students from Institut Supérieur d’Électronique de Paris (ISEP), one of SIIT’s long-standing partner universities in France, are participating in a three-month exchange program during Semester 2/2025. During this period, they study in the Logistics and Supply Chain Engineering (LSCSE) program at SIIT, Thammasat University.

The first field trip to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya on Tuesday 10 February 2026 aimed to enhance students’ in-depth understanding of the concept of Sustainable Tourism Supply Chain, a key topic in the SE621 Sustainable Supply Chain Management course.
The activity emphasized experiential learning through direct engagement with cultural and historical tourism sites.

Ayutthaya serves as an appropriate case study due to its complex tourism supply chain, which involves multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, tourism operators, transportation systems, restaurants, and heritage conservation authorities.

During the visit, students explored several significant historical sites, including Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, Wat Mahathat, Ayutthaya Elephant Palace and Royal Kraal, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram.
These locations provided valuable insights into how cultural heritage management, tourism activities, and supply chain operations are interconnected in practice.

🚢✨ LSCSE Field Trip 2025 🏗️🌊

LSCSE Master’s students joined an exclusive field trip to KLN Seaport Limited on November 29–30, 2025, gaining first-hand experience in real-world maritime logistics and modern port management.

Located in the heart of Laem Chabang, KLN Seaport is a world-class, multi-purpose deep-sea port providing integrated services including container operations, warehousing, and wide-berth docking—serving key industrial estates along Thailand’s Eastern Seaboard and the Greater Mekong Region.

During the visit, students explored digital transformation and operational efficiency in action, with key learning highlights including:
✅ Smart queuing systems using QR codes
✅ Containerization and global logistics standards
✅ Twin-lift crane technology to enhance port productivity
✅ Insights into Thailand’s major import–export flows

On December 7, 2024, Master’s students in Logistics and Supply Chain Systems Engineering (LSCSE) participated in an exclusive Field Trip at Jenbunjerd Co., Ltd. (เจนบรรเจิด - Jenbunjerd), gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge logistics and supply chain management!


This immersive experience provided students with firsthand exposure to advanced logistics technologies, warehousing solutions, and material handling innovations. 🔍💡 Through interactive sessions with industry experts, they gained valuable insights into real-world operational challenges and modern logistics strategies aimed at optimizing efficiency and productivity. 📦🔄


Beyond technical learning, the trip also served as a networking platform, allowing students to connect with professionals and peers who share their passion for logistics and supply chain management. 🤝🌍

⭐️ LSCSE Field Trip 2023! ⭐️

On December 9-10th, 2023, graduate students from LSCSE embarked on an exciting adventure to Denso's (Thailand) Denso(Thailand)Co.,Ltd and Siam Denso Siam Denso Manufacturing Co.,Ltd. facilities in Chon Buri.
The day concluded with a bang at the Cape Racha Hotel for our final orientation activities. 🎊


Denso's facility, a powerhouse in automotive part production, became our classroom for the day. From starters to alternators, parts engineering manufacturing (PEM), tooling, and electrodes—we delved into the heart of it all. The highlight? Witnessing Industry 4.0 in action, with automation and the Internet of Things (IoT) seamlessly integrated into Denso's manufacturing.


But that's not all—our students got an exclusive peek into the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in manufacturing. Deep learning and computer vision took center stage, aligning perfectly with the core of our LSCSE program. This hands-on experience not only refreshed their knowledge but solidified the link between theory and real-world applications.


The LSCSE Field Trip 2023 wasn't just a visit; it was an exploration of the future. Our students left Denso's facility not just with memories, but with a deeper understanding of the vital concepts shaping the logistics and supply chain landscape. This trip was a powerful reinforcement of the knowledge gained in our program, setting the stage for our students' continued success.
