This week, we marked World Cancer Survivors Day in a truly meaningful way. Members of the FES Management Team, together with representatives from the FES Service Centres, visited Hospice Malta to present a donation of €3,400.
The donation was raised through a series of fundraising initiatives organised during October and November, bringing together employees in support of an important cause. These activities aimed to raise both funds and awareness for individuals and families affected by cancer.
We are proud to support the invaluable work carried out by Hospice Malta and grateful to everyone who contributed to making this donation possible. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Our young scientists 👩🏻‍🔬 at the Gzira Klabb 3-16 Centre explored how water travels through paper using colourful marker experiments!

The children drew concentric circles with markers on paper, then shaped the paper into flowers 🌸. When the “stalk” was dipped into water, the water slowly travelled upwards through the paper fibres, carrying the colours with it. This process is called capillary action — the same way plants draw water from their roots to their leaves and petals! 💧🍃

The spreading colours created beautiful patterns and inspired the children’s next activity: turning their colourful designs into summer-themed drawings, including juicy fruits, swimming pools, and happy children enjoying the sunshine. ☀️🌈

We hope that these drawings will grace their bedroom walls and inspire them for the sunny days ahead. 🌞
