This week the MSc BI cohort 2 was in Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve collecting data that featured Insects, herbs, aquatic macro-invertebrates & microbes! This year's Ecosystem Ecology module was delivered by our elite female team Dr. Tiwonge Gawa, Ms. Priya Samson, and Ms. Thoko Mtewa. It was a Affair!

We are constantly thrilled to see our students succeeding in many fields. Our second-year MSc student, Dickson Mbeya made it to the finals of the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development - RCMRD competition with his entry, "Status of Malawi's Protected Areas." The winner will be announced at the 12th RCMRD Conference for Ministers and 56th Governing Council meeting, which he will be attending in Uganda.

Another heartfelt congrats to Ms Manasseh Samantha Matemba, MSc B.I. Candidate, who was selected for The African AI Research 2022 Innovation Funding Call for Junior Researchers.Her research project titled Investigating riverine flow regimes and aquatic biodiversity: A case study of the Ruo River, an Afromontane ecosystem in Mulanje Malawi, will receive USD 5,000 in funding.
