After four years in Malaysia, one year of foundation and three years of dedication, you graduate today with a degree in Islamic Finance from AIU. This journey was not easy, but it was purposeful. You left home with sincerity, patience, and trust in Allah, and today Allah honors that effort.

Allah says:

“Allah will raise those who believe among you and those who have been given knowledge by degrees.” (Qur’an 58:11)

May this knowledge be a means of halal provision, justice, and benefit for the Ummah, and may Allah place barakah in your steps wherever you go.

And remember:

“Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” (Qur’an 94:6)

We are proud of you, Cherno. May this graduation be the beginning, not the peak. May Allah open doors greater than your dreams, keep you firm upon truth, and make you a source of khayr for The Gambia and beyond. Ameen.

FAREWELL SEMINAR FOR DR. MUATH

The Gambian Students Association at Albukhary International University organized a heartfelt farewell seminar for Dr. Muath Khalil Amayreh, centered on the theme “Skills for Life: Beyond Grades – Skills Every University Student Should Develop to Succeed.”

The event began with welcoming remarks from Mr. Osaid, who expressed deep gratitude to Dr. Muath for his generosity, dedication, and constant support to students. He also encouraged students to emulate Dr. Muath’s inspiring qualities — to educate, empower, and motivate people wherever they are.

In his final speech, Dr. Muath reminded students of the importance of love in all they do, quoting Rumi:

“Wherever you are and whatever you do, be in love. Love what you do.”

His words moved the audience, ending with a standing ovation from the students in attendance.

As a token of appreciation, the Gambian Community presented a gift to Dr. Muath in recognition of his remarkable contribution to the AIU community. GAMSA also honored deserving international students for their active participation and recognized the top three winners of the Kahoot game.

The memorable session concluded with a joyful group photo capturing the spirit of unity and gratitude.
