Your child’s hard work deserves to be seen.
College and university applications are more competitive than ever.

Grades matter, but so does proof of growth, skill, and consistency.
That is why we created our Portfolio Kit.

It helps students present their learning achievements in a clear, professional way that can support college and university applications.

With the Portfolio Kit, students can showcase:
- projects they have completed
- skills they have built
- certificates and milestones
- learning progress that tells a stronger story

This is more than a collection of work.
It is a way to help your child stand out with confidence.
Because a strong application is not only about what they say. It is about what they can show.

Most children know how to use technology.

They can watch videos, play games, scroll through social media, and move through apps with ease.

But knowing how to use technology is no longer enough.

The real advantage is learning how to create with it.

While some children spend their holidays consuming content, others are learning how to build websites, create AI-powered projects, solve problems, and turn ideas into something real.

The difference is not talent.

The difference is exposure.

When children learn to build, they begin to see technology differently. They stop asking, “What can I watch?” and start asking, “What can I create?”

They become more confident problem-solvers, more creative thinkers, more curious learners, and more prepared for a future where technology touches almost every industry.

That is why Summer of Code 2026 is built around one simple idea:

**Build What Matters.**

Not just learning tech for the sake of learning tech.

But using technology to create things that add value, solve real problems, express ideas, and make a meaningful impact.

Because the future belongs to those who can build, not just consume.

This summer, give your child the opportunity to become a creator, not just a user.

Your child is learning coding, but are you documenting it? Learning is valuable, but documented learning is powerful. Without a proper portfolio, weeks of building, solving problems, and creating projects can easily fade into memory, even though that progress is real.

That is where the Tech Portfolio Starter Kit comes in. It helps turn your child’s coding journey into organized, presentable work instead of scattered screenshots or forgotten projects. It gives children a clear way to show their effort, creativity, progress, and potential.

This matters because future opportunities often look beyond what a child knows to what they have built and how they present it. A strong tech portfolio can help children stand out for camps, competitions, scholarships, internships, and more. Start documenting the journey now, because talent grows, but documented talent opens doors.

Nearly 10 years ago, I started Codeworld with a simple belief: African children deserved the opportunity not just to use technology, but to create with it.

What began as a small mission to introduce young people to coding, STEM, and digital skills has grown into a community of young creators, innovators, and problem-solvers.

As we launch Summer of Code 2026, I’m reminded that our mission remains the same: helping young people build the confidence and skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Because the future won’t be built by consumers.

It will be built by creators.

And our children deserve a seat at that table.

Coding is not just for adults. Kids can start early with the right approach.

And in a world where technology is shaping nearly every career, early exposure is no longer a nice extra. It is a real advantage.

Today’s children are growing up in a future where coding, AI literacy, digital creativity, problem-solving, and innovation will matter in ways we are only beginning to see. That is why the best time to start is now, while curiosity is still high and confidence is still being built.

At Summer of Code, we make that first step meaningful. Kids are introduced to coding and AI mastery in a way that is fun, practical, and age-appropriate. They do not just sit and consume. They learn to think, build, create, and explore. They begin to understand that technology is not only something to use, but something they can shape.

This is more than a holiday camp. It is an opportunity to help children develop future-ready skills that can support their growth, their confidence, and their possible career paths later on. Whether they grow into tech, design, entrepreneurship, media, or fields that do not even exist yet, the foundation they build now will matter.

Summer of Code is where future explorers begin.

Register now and give your child a head start in coding, AI, and the skills that will matter tomorrow.
