Ever wondered why some satellite images look crystal clear while others appear blurry? 🤔

In Remote Sensing, resolution determines how much detail a sensor can capture from the Earth’s surface. There are four major types:

🛰️ 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
How detailed the image is.
Higher spatial resolution = smaller objects can be identified.

How often a satellite revisits the same location.
Useful for monitoring floods, urban growth, deforestation, and crop health.

The ability to capture different wavelengths of energy.
This helps distinguish vegetation, water bodies, soil, and built-up areas.

How sensitive the sensor is to detecting slight differences in energy.
The higher the radiometric resolution, the more detailed the brightness information.
