What happens when people enter the teaching profession without passion, purpose, or preparation?
Across our universities and colleges of education, we meet brilliant young people studying Education—not because it was their dream, but because it was the course they were offered.
Many are unmotivated, uninspired, and uncertain about their future as educators.
The result?
We risk sending into our classrooms teachers who are simply trying to earn a living, rather than professionals equipped and inspired to shape the next generation.
At the South Eastern Educators Network (SEEN), we believe this story can change.
That is why we launched the Young Educators Summit—a movement dedicated to inspiring, mentoring, and empowering student teachers while they are still in school.
We are helping them discover the value, impact, and opportunities within the teaching profession, while also equipping them with practical skills that are rarely taught in the classroom but are essential for success in today’s education landscape.
Beyond motivation, we are providing mentorship, professional development opportunities, internships, and the support they need to become confident, competent, and future-ready educators.
Our journey begins with our first stop for 2026:
