2. Fixed iron doors for the masjid entrances
3. Completed plastering of the interior of the masjid
Current project: Exterior plastering of the masjid

Ibrahim Traoré did not take the day off for Tabaski.
Burkina Faso’s president spent Eid al-Adha this morning praying alongside his soldiers, not in a presidential hall, not with dignitaries. With the men on the front lines.
After the prayer, he made his message clear.
“The Defense and Security Forces fighting on the ground draw their faith from religion. It is also there that they cultivate love for their neighbor and love for their homeland in order to fight until the supreme sacrifice.”
He also used the moment to send a warning to anyone thinking the festive period was an opportunity. Unity, vigilance and social peace, he said, are not optional.
“Each of us should use religion to unite rather than divide us.”
In a country fighting an active insurgency, this was not a ceremonial appearance. It was a deliberate signal. The president prays where the soldiers pray. The homeland comes before everything else.
Whatever you think of Traoré, the symbolism is not lost.
