HOW TO CALCULATE TOTAL AGGREGATE FOR THE UNILORIN ADMISSION*

JAMB (50%)
POST UTME(30%)
O'LEVEL (20%)

📍 O'level Result
Only the 5 RELEVANT Subjects are to be added up with respective point.
A1 = 4 Points
B2 = 3.6 points
B3 = 3.2 points
C4 = 2.8 points
C5 = 2.4 points
C6 = 2.0 points

For example,
A student with the following O'level results:
English B2 = 3.6
Maths. C4 = 2.8
Chem. C5 = 2.4
Phy. B3 = 3.2
Bio. A1 = 4

*16 Points*

Therefore, the student scored 16 out of 20% in the O'level.

📍 POST UTME
Assuming your Post Utme score is 65 out of 100.
= (65 divided by 100) X 30%
= 19.5%*

📍 JAMB (50%)
Your UTME score divided by *8

Example:
400/8 = 50%

For example, a student that scored *320* will have the percentage calculated as:

320 ÷ 8 = *40%*

Therefore, the student scored *40%* out of 50% for JAMB

📍 *FOR THE IJMB/ A'LEVEL(50%)*
Divide your points by the total possible points *(16)* and multiply by *50%* .

For example,
A student that has *12 points* will have the percentage calculated as:

(12 divided 16) × 50% = *37.5%* .

Therefore, the student scored *37.5%* out of *50%* for *IJMB ALEVEL*

To calculate your Total Aggregate, you will add your score from the Jamb/ A'Level + O'level Result + Post Utme Score.

JAMB CAPS for 2025/2026 admission - monitor & confirm your admission status.

The JAMB CAPS for the 2025/2026 admission exercise is active. Candidates can now monitor their admission status and easily know when they have been offered admission. Once a candidate has been offered admission on JAMB CAPS, such candidate is required to do either of two things; to accept the admission or to reject it.

Schools have already started uploading their Admission Lists on the JAMB Portal. We, therefore, advise candidates to closely monitor their admission status on JAMB CAPS so as to do the needful as soon as possible.

JAMB CAPS for 2025/2026 admission - monitor & confirm your admission status
Some schools may not publish the list of admitted candidates on their own portal or notice board. So for candidates that applied for admission in such schools, the only way to know when they have been offered admission is to check their admission status on JAMB CAPS.

How To Check Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

Visit: https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/ and login with your registered email address and password to access your dashboard
Click on ‘Check Admission Status,
Click on ‘Access my CAPS’
Click on 'Admission Status' to see if you have been offered admission.

If you have been admitted you will get a response with your Photo Image being displayed and a text Congratulating you on your admission offer, But if you are not offered any admission yet you will get a text response with "Sorry No Admission has been Given Yet"
If you have been offered admission, you can proceed to Accept or Reject the admission by sending ACCEPT or REJECT as SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the specific Phone number linked to your JAMB profile
Candidates have 4 weeks to accept the offer of admission..Those who do not have their registered phone numbers are to visit a JAMB accredited centre to Accept or Reject.

It is important to note also that candidates who have been offered admission are to print their admission letter after accepting the admission, as they will likely need this during clearance and registration in the school that they have been admitted.

Note: If you are using a phone, you may not see the option to check Admission Status on CAPS, Most phone users may only see the welcome message. You are to use the desktop mode to view the complete page. This is why the chrome browser is recommended if you are using a phone. All you need to do is go to Chrome option and choose request desktop site for the complete page to display.

2. Scroll down and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.

3. Then click on Admission Status

4. Enter your JAMB Registration number

5. Click on Access my CAPS.

6. Click on My O’level

If your result is on JAMB Portal, your subjects and grades will be displayed on the screen.

JAMB issues fresh directives to universities over 2025 admission process

Universities across Nigeria have been directed to ensure they finalise the admission processes in their institutions by October 31, 2025, for public universities and November 30, 2025, for private ones.

The directive was handed to the institutions by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Monday, August 18.

In a fresh schedule released in its weekly bulletin, JAMB announced that all other tertiary institutions in Nigeria, both public and private, have until December 31, 2025 to wrap up their admissions.

"By this policy directive, all admission processes must be concluded within the prescribed timelines,” JAMB said.

In addition, the board urged all institutions conducting post-UTME screenings to conclude these processes as soon as possible to enable them to comply with the 2025 admission schedule.
