Todayโs mission: Master the Marks!
JSS1 & JSS2 levelled up with 3 powerful punctuation heroes:
๐ธ Comma (,): โPause and breathe!โ
๐ธ Full stop (.): โTime to rest,sentence complete!โ
๐ธ Exclamation mark (!): โFeel the excitement!โ
We practised, paused, and punctuated with power: turning flat sentences into expressive ones. ๐๐ฅ
Now they donโt just read punctuation. They feel it.
Proud of our young writers and readers! ๐

๐ณ๐ฌ Happy Democracy Day!
Today, we celebrate 27 years of uninterrupted democracy in Nigeria. A day to remember the sacrifices of those who fought for the freedom we enjoy today.
At Beacon Literacy Advancement Network, we believe true democracy begins with an educated and empowered citizenry. When every child can read, write, and think critically, they become active participants in shaping the future of our nation.
As we mark this day, we recommit ourselves to equipping young minds in public schools with the foundational literacy skills they need to rise, lead, and contribute meaningfully to our democracy.
Let us continue to build a Nigeria where every voice matters; starting with the ability to read and be heard.
Read to Rise. Lead to Change.โจ
Itโs not just reading. Itโs teamwork, confidence, and joy in every word.
Proud of our readers for showing up, sounding out, and lifting each other up. ๐
Letโs make this week count: one pair, one sound, one win at a time. ๐
It's another Monday!
Our learners are beginning to read in pairs ๐๐
They're reading according to their levels, which help them practice their sounds
Today was full of voices! ๐ญ๐
We kicked off with pair reading: students supporting each other, sounding out words, building confidence together.

We kicked off with pair reading: students supporting each other, sounding out words, building confidence together.
Then came role play: stepping into charactersโ shoes, matching voices to emotions, and bringing stories to life!
From shy whispers to bold lines; the growth is real. ๐

Education should never be a journey of fear.
Beacon Literacy Advancement Network stands with millions of Nigerians in calling for the safe and immediate return of the abducted teachers and students in Oyo State.
Schools are meant to be places of learning, growth, and hope; not places where children and educators live under the threat of violence. Every child deserves the right to learn in safety, and every teacher deserves the protection needed to carry out their vital work.
We join our voices with concerned citizens, education advocates, and stakeholders across the country in urging the Government of Nigeria and relevant security agencies to intensify efforts toward securing their release and strengthening the safety of schools nationwide.
Our thoughts are with the affected families, communities, and everyone awaiting the safe return of their loved ones.
Bring them home. Protect our schools. Defend the future.

Today, two joys meet:
A day of sacrifice, faith, and family
And a day to celebrate every child as precious, powerful, and full of promise.
At BLAN, we believe every child deserves:
๐น To be seen
๐น To be heard
๐น To learn, grow, and dream freely
Today, we celebrate them all: with love, with hope, with books in hand. ๐
May their futures be bright, their hearts full, and their voices strong.
Happy Childrenโs Day.
