Twenty Pounds Entertainment is a Film Production company that tells fearless Nigerian stories.

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been drawn to telling fearless stories.

Not just the kind that entertains for two hours and disappears, but the kind that makes you sit back, reflect, argue, laugh nervously, or even whisper “what the hell did I just watch!”

So, when I founded my production company, , I knew exactly the kind of vehicle I wanted to build.

Not a keke that can only move inside small streets.

Not even a danfo bus that stops at every junction.

What I wanted was a veritable fearless trailer that will be able to carry daring stories across borders, communities, languages, and hearts.

September was a whirlwind, and one of the highlights was producing for Writer-Director .

Now, let me tell you something: filmmaking always takes a village.

In engineering, they’ll tell you a bridge is only as strong as its steel and concrete.

In medicine, a surgeon can’t succeed without the nurses, anesthesiologists, and lab scientists who prep the way.

In football, Messi can’t score without the midfield delivering the pass.

Same thing in film. One person may hold the vision, but it takes an army of energetic, relentless, fearless “villagers” to bring that vision to life.

Here’s our fearless cast and crew who carried like warriors carrying a masquerade costume:

And of course, our formidable partners and without whom this film would not exist.

Now, here’s the real gist: whether in literature, politics, business, or cinema, the stories that move nations are always the fearless ones.

Chinua Achebe didn’t shy away from colonial politics when he wrote Things Fall Apart.

Fela didn’t play safe when he used afrobeat to drag military regimes.

Even the tech bros we celebrate today - from to our own - are the ones who dared to imagine differently.

At Twenty Pounds Entertainment, we respect every storyteller, but we revere the fearless ones.

So I’ll leave you with this question: Got a fearless story?

Let Twenty Pounds Entertainment be your vehicle.

We’ll carry it with pride, just like our villagers carried .

I no go lie you, I’m very excited about this one.

just signed an MOU with to serve as the official media partner for our short film project "Ashawo... Or an Ode to Nigerian 'Religious' Men."

Yes, you read that right.
Yes, it's as provocative as it sounds.
And yes, it’s time.

In a country where the loudest voices often belong to the most hypocritical, and where “religion” is used more as a weapon than a mirror, Ashawo... dares to ask hard questions. It dances on that fine line between satire and searing truth, calling out the performance of piety and the policing of women’s bodies by men who, well, let me not spoil the film.

Partnering with Naija Feminist Media was a no-brainer. They’re not just fearless; they are intentional, rigorous, and committed to reshaping the narrative landscape in this country. Together, we’re ready to amplify a story that is as bold as it is necessary.

This is not just filmmaking. This is cultural resistance.
This is how we archive our rage — with craft.
This is how we open up room for dialogue — with laughter, tension, and a little holy mischief.

To edgy, fearless, and disruptive cinema.

To stories that bite, sting—and then heal.

With small small thunder in my chest,

I say: Let’s go.

Ogoo,

"The chimes... He got them."

- (2017).

In The Moment (2017) holds a special place in my heart not just because I acted in it, - permit me to brag about acting just this once - but because it normalized some things for me.

One of those things is wind chimes.

Obviously, I know about it but, I had always considered it "white, rich, privileged people" things.

But, in the film, my character gifted it to a lover.

Seeing it normalized on screen like that did a number of things to me.

No kidding.

I grew up in a home where having books - not just school books o - was normal.

So, when folks say books are expensive and don't have them, I can't relate.

I always feel you can't put a price on knowledge.

But, things like wind chimes, I considered them: "white, rich, privileged people" stuff.

If you are like me and regard it as "white, rich, privileged people" things, please, get them today so that your kids can take them for granted.

Want one, just say so in the comment section.
