🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Petra Honest-Dateme
At PMI Nigeria Chapter, we believe that volunteering is one of the most powerful ways for young people and students to develop practical skills, gain hands-on experience, build professional networks, and grow into future leaders.
This week, we are proud to spotlight Petra Honest-Dateme, a dedicated student member whose passion, commitment, and enthusiasm continue to make a positive impact across our Chapter.
Petra is a fifth-year Estate Management student who actively volunteers with both the Youth & Social Impact Team and the Media & Communications Team. Through her involvement, she contributes her skills, supports key initiatives, and gains valuable real-world experience in project ex*****on, communications, stakeholder engagement, and team collaboration.
She is passionate about project management, continuous learning, graphics design, writing, fitness, reading, and developing innovative solutions that create lasting value for communities and society.
Petra's journey is a testament to what is possible when students take advantage of opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow through volunteering.
As a Chapter Student Member, she continues to demonstrate that volunteering is more than service—it is an opportunity to build skills, gain practical experience, develop leadership capacity, and prepare for future career success.
To every student and young professional wondering whether volunteering is worth it—this is your sign. Join a team, contribute your skills, gain practical experience, expand your network, and accelerate your personal and professional growth.
Thank you, Petra, for your dedication, passion, and service. We are proud to have you as part of the PMI Nigeria Chapter family. 💚

PMI Nigeria Chapter will be joining the Ashoka team in its CTEACH Programme—an initiative designed to support and equip community teachers as changemakers.
As part of this collaboration, PMI Nigeria Chapter will deliver foundational project management knowledge and skills. The training will be facilitated by Prof. Lami Nnamonu, Vice President, Professional Development, PMI Nigeria Chapter.
Through this introductory session, teachers will explore key project management concepts and practical approaches that can help them plan, organize, and deliver initiatives more effectively within their schools and communities.
By empowering educators with project management capabilities, we are strengthening their capacity to lead change, solve problems, and create meaningful outcomes for the learners they serve.
Together, we are building a future where project management becomes a catalyst for education, leadership, and community development
