Every April 23rd, the world pauses to recognize the transformative power of books.
Founded by UNESCO , World Book and Copyright Day is more than just a date on the calendar; it is a global tribute to authors, a celebration of reading, and a call to protect the intellectual property that fuels our imagination.
This year, the celebration takes on a vibrant local flavor with the hashtag , powered by Rex Clarke Adventures .
Why April 23rd?
The date carries immense literary weight. It marks the anniversary of the death (and sometimes birth) of several prominent authors, most notably William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes, and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega.
