JAMB change of course/Institution has started BUT here Eight (8 )Common Mistakes JAMBITES Make During Change of Institution.. Don't Fall Victim of this ....

1. Changing to a school because your friend is going there.

My dear, you are the one to write the exam, not your friend. Always consider your score, the school’s cut-off, and your chances , not vibes and friendship goals....

2. Assuming every school is still accepting changes.

Some schools close their portal early early. If you delay too much, you will be changing to a school that won’t even notice you changed. Be timely....

3. Ignoring your JAMB subject combination.

You want to change From nursing which was your initial course to engeernering, but you didn't write biology In your JAMB. That’s a silent rejection waiting to happen. Cross-check requirements very well before changing course.

4. Doing changes that requires the use of JAMB accredited center at roadside cafes.

Yes, I know “Uncle Ade ICT” near your junction is cheap, but if JAMB didn’t accredit them, wahala fit burst later. Always use a JAMB-accredited CBT center. No shortcuts.

5. Not printing your change of institution slip.

Change of institution without proof is like shouting "I don change school" with no receipt. Keep your slip! It may save your neck during clearance or admission issues.

6. Panicking because your new school hasn’t updated your name.

Calm down. Some schools update weekly, some monthly. Just give it time and keep checking their portal. Don't rush to change again.

7. Doing change of course without calculating your chances.

Be smart. If your score is 180, don’t go and pick Nursing in UI. You are not doing faith-based JAMB. Pick an institution that matches your score realistically, advisable college of Nursing.

8. Doing change of course/institution too late.

Don’t wait till everyone is saying “I got admission!” before you remember to change school or course. Sharp move early is better than sorry story later.

I'm rooting for YOU

JAMB: UTME MOP-UP EXAMINATION TO HOLD ON SATURDAY, 13TH JUNE, 2026
__
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Saturday, 13th June, 2026 for the conduct of the UTME mop-up examination for all candidates who presented themselves and were biometrically verified for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) but were unable to sit the examination for one reason or another.
__
The 2026 UTME was conducted between 23rd and 29th April, 2026. However, some centres experienced technical challenges which made it impossible for a number of candidates to sit the examination.
__
In addition, some results were subsequently withdrawn over examination infractions, while some candidates who presented themselves for the examination could not be verified biometrically. All such candidates have been listed for the mop-up examination.
__
The mop-up examination represents the final phase of the annual UTME exercise and serves as an opportunity to address all outstanding examination challenges involving candidates who duly presented themselves but encountered difficulties in taking the examination.
__
Candidates in this category are advised to begin printing their Examination Notification Slips from Saturday, 6th June, 2026.

Affected candidates are hereby urged to print their Examination Notification Slips, familiarise themselves with their examination centres, and make all necessary arrangements ahead of the examination date, as there will be no further opportunity for any candidate to sit the 2026 UTME after this mop-up exercise.
