Difference between Advice and Advise

Advice
Meaning- A noun.

It means a suggestion or opinion about what you should do.

When to use: Use it for the idea or suggestion itself. It cannot be counted.

Examples:
✅ He gave me good advice.
✅I need your advice on this decision.





Advise
Meaning- A verb.

It means to give a suggestion or opinion to someone.

When to use: Use it for the action of giving advice.

Examples:
✅I advise you to rest.
✅ He advised me to wait.

Important Points

Advice is a thing you receive, like “information”.
Advise is an action you do, like “speak”.

Advice has no plural. Wrong: “advices”. ❌

Right: “pieces of advice” or “some advice”. ✅

Advise is only a verb. Wrong: “I need your advise”. ❌
Right: “I need your advice”. ✅
