Oyomesi Media Academy 2.0 Holds Matriculation Ceremony

Oyomesi Media Academy (OYMA) has officially welcomed a new set of students with the matriculation ceremony for Oyomesi Media Academy 2.0, held today.

The event marked another important milestone for the academy as it continues its mission of training the next generation of broadcasters and media professionals. In his remarks, the Rector, Mr. Israel Orodiran, emphasized the importance of creativity, integrity, and commitment to truth in shaping a successful media career.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the matriculation lecture delivered by renowned media professional, Dr. Kola Oni, General Manager of Crowther 88.5FM. His lecture focused on the essential skills every modern broadcaster and media professional must master, including digital competence, storytelling, ethics, and adaptability in today’s fast-changing media landscape. He encouraged students to stay curious, embrace innovation, and maintain professionalism as they begin their journey.

The administration of the matriculation oath officially inducted the students into the academy, as they pledged to uphold the values of integrity, discipline, respect, and excellence.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks by the Chairman, Governing Council, Barr. Wakil Oyeleru Oyedemi, who appreciated the students for choosing OYMA, encouraged them to enhance the culture of reading, and wished them success in their academic journey. The event ended with a closing prayer and a group photograph, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the students of Oyomesi Media Academy 2.0.

Oyomesi Media Academy 2.0 Lecture Kicks Off

It was a warm, welcoming, and calm atmosphere as Oyomesi Media Academy officially kicked off its 2.0 training session. Students settled into the cool and conducive classroom environment, eager to begin a new phase of learning and professional development.

The first lecture, “Introduction to Audio Editing,” was delivered by lecturer Israel Orodiran, who provided a detailed and comprehensive overview of the course, laying a solid foundation for the students. This was followed by an engaging session on “Introduction to ICT and Broadcast Engineering” by Timileyin Ajibodu, where students were exposed to the technical aspects of modern broadcasting.

The academy’s 2.0 program is designed to train and equip the next generation of broadcasters and media professionals with practical skills, industry knowledge, and hands-on experience. With a focus on excellence, creativity, and innovation, Oyomesi Media Academy is committed to shaping future voices in the media space and preparing students to meet the demands of the ever-evolving broadcast industry.

The session marked the beginning of an exciting journey for the students as they take bold steps toward becoming skilled and impactful media practitioners.

Orientation for OYMA 2.0

OYOMESI ACADEMY 2.0 HAS COMMENCED

Students gathered at Oyomesi Media Academy as the 2.0 phase officially began on the 2nd Thursday of 2026. The day featured smooth documentation and registration, followed by an engaging orientation session.

With the presence of lecturers, media coverage, and interactive participation from students, the academy has once again set the tone for quality training and excellence.

Oyomesi Academy 2.0 is fully underway.

Oyomesi Media Academy Product Joins ARA 88.1 FM

Adeyemo Ifeoluwa Elizabeth, a graduate of Oyomesi Media Academy, has joined ARA 88.1 FM as a Newscaster and Presenter.

She will be responsible for reading the news and presenting programmes on the station. This opportunity shows her growth in the media field after completing her training at the academy.

Her achievement also shows the effort of Oyomesi Media Academy in training young people who are ready to work in the media industry.

Adeyemo Ifeoluwa Elizabeth is excited to begin this new journey at ARA 88.1 FM and looks forward to informing and entertaining listeners.
