Preacher: Rev. Fr. Valentine Inyaotti, C.C.E

Today’s message reminded us that in any situation, we must trust and obey. Do not be afraid, for His name is Emmanuel - “God with us.”

The homily challenged us to:
- Speak the truth - Even when it hurts, always say it.
- Learn from God’s call - Many in the Bible strayed, but retraced their steps and did marvelous works for Him.
- Stay steadfast - When those close to you try to pull you down, trust and obey the Lord.
- Endure persecution - It may linger, but it cannot overshadow God’s will.
- Leave vengeance to God – Revenge belongs to the Lord.
- Shine as light – Darkness cannot overcome light.

The call is simple but profound: trust, obey, and let God’s will shine through your life.

Preacher: Rev. Msgr. Dr. Francis Nwaiwu

Today’s message reminded us that God calls according to His will.
Moses urged the Israelites to remember how God saved them from Egypt.
In the same way, we are called to reflect on the countless times God has rescued us and to give Him thanks.

The homily challenged us to:
Remember God’s goodness - Think of the many times He has saved you.

Be an ambassador - Preach His love, starting from our home, because charity begins at home.

Reject indifference - Why the lack of care and concern? We are called to be our brother’s keeper.

Create belonging - Ask after your brother or sister, show concern, and build community.

The call is simple but profound: live out God’s love by caring for one another and sharing His goodness.

Today’s message reminded us of the priceless gift of the Eucharist.
Though Christ ascended into heaven, He left Himself with us in this sacrament, urging us to celebrate it faithfully.

The Eucharist teaches us:
Real Presence - Christ is truly among us, not symbolically but sacramentally.

Source of Sacraments - All sacraments draw their strength from the Eucharist, the heart of Christian life.

Invitation to Celebration - We are called to honor and adore Christ in this mystery of love.

Though the mystery is profound, it calls us to live in communion, reflecting Christ’s abiding presence in our daily lives.

Preacher: Rev. Fr Bruno Ogoke, MSP

Today’s message reminded us of the profound mystery of the Holy Trinity.
We are not called to fully understand it, but to believe in it.
The Trinity teaches us:
Faithfulness - to remain true to one another.
Forgiveness - to let go and heal.
Brotherhood - to care for each other as family.
Unity - to share in the divine bond of love.

Though the mystery cannot be fully explained, it calls us to live in harmony, reflecting the unity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in our daily lives.

Preacher: Rev. Fr. Jonathan Chibuzo Ndubuisi

Pentecost Sunday marks the end of the Easter season, yet every Sunday remains a celebration of the Resurrection.

We rejoice in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, who descended upon the disciples to strengthen, unite, and empower them for mission.

Pentecost reveals that the Good News is for all, transcending language, culture, and boundaries.

The Spirit binds believers together, energizing the Church to continue Christ’s mission in the world.

Ordinary men became bold witnesses, showing how the Spirit empowers human weakness.

Christianity is not escape from the world but a call to transform it with love, justice, and truth.

Small compromises in faith can lead to decline, stay vigilant and faithful.

Focus on your own growth in Christ rather than comparing yourself with others. Each journey is unique.

Pentecost is not just history; it is a living reality. The Spirit continues to breathe life into the Church and into each believer.

The same Spirit who transformed fearful apostles into courageous witnesses now calls us to be agents of unity, renewal, and transformation in our families, communities, and society.

Preacher: Rev. Fr. Jonathan Chibuzo Ndubuisi

The life of Christ teaches us: before we begin anything, we pray.
The apostles waited prayerfully, it wasn’t just idle waiting. Our prayer life needs careful attention and watchfulness.

Waiting with God in prayer is never wasted time. After the Ascension, the apostles’ waiting brought results - the Holy Spirit.

Delay is not rejection; sometimes delays carry unique blessings. In times of waiting, stay active, not idle. Stay awake in prayer.

Work hard, improve yourself, and pray as you wait for God’s answer.

Preacher: Rev. Fr. Kizito Ndulaka

- Today’s message reminds us of the joy hidden in suffering.
- Every one of us carries a burden. no one is free from struggle.
- Suffering often comes as a call to pause, reflect, and realign our lives.
- Be your own critic: observe yourself, acknowledge your weaknesses, and correct yourself.
- When embraced with faith, suffering becomes a teacher that draws us closer to Christ and to true joy.

Preacher: Rev. Fr. Jonathan Chibuzo Ndubuisi

- We set out with hope, but often meet confusion along the way. At such moments, God draws nearer and stays with us.
- The disciples' journey to Emmaus, was one of confusion, yet Christ came into their midst. Each of us faces times of disappointment, struggle, and despair. In those moments, God is close.
- Even in times of enjoyment and affluence, we must remember God’s presence. In every state of life, God turns our challenges into hope and faith.
- Do not allow your challenging moments to define you. Christ works and walks with us, even in our confusion.
- When facing illness, loss of a job, or feeling abandoned, remember Christ is walking beside you. In moments of joy and abundance, remain grateful and attentive to God’s presence.
- May we always recognize Christ walking with us, even when our eyes are dimmed by confusion. The joy of Easter reminds us that despair is never the final word, Christ transforms it into hope.

Preacher: Rev. Fr. Jonathan Chibuzo Ndubuisi

- Today we celebrate the mercy of God upon mankind.
- God’s mercy is limitless - no sin is greater than His mercy.
- The disciples shared their possessions in common, teaching us that what we have is for others too.
- This act of charity led people to call them Christians.
- Charity breeds unity and togetherness.
- Just as Christ greeted His disciples with peace, we are called to be ambassadors of peace.
- Despite Peter’s denial, he became the leader of the apostles - proof that our sins are not counted against us when we return to God.
- Mercy is grace and forgiveness - unmerited, unfathomable, and free to all.
- Grace and effort are both needed for this Christian race.
- Forgiveness is costly and difficult, yet God commands us to keep forgiving.
- It means choosing peace over war, joy over sadness.
- We forgive not because people deserve it, but for our own peace and because we are Christians.

Preacher: Rev. Msgr. Dr. Francis Nwaiwu

- The Lenten journey began on Ash Wednesday and led us into Holy Week. Today, we celebrate the greatest truth of our faith: Christ’s Resurrection.

- Even though Judas betrayed Him and Peter denied Him, Christ still died and rose to fulfill His mission.

- He endured pain, suffering, and the journey to Calvary, giving His life on the cross out of love for mankind.

- His death brought despair to the disciples, but His resurrection brought joy and renewed hope.

- Mary Magdalene went to the tomb intending to anoint His body, but instead encountered the empty tomb, the first sign of the Resurrection.

- In haste, she ran to tell the Apostles. That was the first announcement of Christ’s victory over death.

- By proclaiming the empty tomb, Mary became the first preacher of the Resurrection.

- They thought crucifying Christ would end His mission, but it was the beginning of a new journey.

- Our celebration today reminds us that the Christian calling is built on this foundation: we must wear the crown through the cross.

- The Resurrection is not just history; it is the living hope that transforms despair into joy, weakness into strength, and death into life.
