*How I overcame my fear and shame of people's opinions.*

Whenever I remember the story, I sometimes laugh. When I was done with my Youth service, and still doing small small petty jobs to hold myself before I got my current main Job. There was a period when none of those jobs where forthcoming, and I was dead broke, lucky for me I still lived with my parents so feeding and accomodation was covered.

After 2 months of being idle, and procrastinating on some things I could have been doing by then just because I felt they were stressful, and mocking of my status despite their potential high pay.

I was of the opinion of: "what will my parents friends say if they see me doing this or that", "am a graduate ooh", and others thoughts similar to that.

So as I was saying, after 2 months of wasting away at home, I decided to link up with my friend who was a painter, so one day I went to his place early in the morning. We from there went for a Job. Omor we worked till evening on empty stomach, I never chop. After the work I had to enter church for evening service immediately. No time to reach home and prepare any food.

By 6:30pm I neva chop, not even water sef dun enta belle. I was just wobbling on my duty post.

But I noticed that during that evening service when I was feeling extremely tired and hungry, and all my thoughts was to get food to eat instead of the Pastor's message. I noticed i didn't give a s**t or 2secs of care about how other people saw me, or my composure. Even babes wey I dey use eyes toast for usual Church services I nor send. No smiles, no joy, I was just bland.

Then I started thinking to myself how if anything, infact if any job comes my way to do now before I can eat, I won't think twice before I start doing it. I didn't care what people would say or think of me at that point.

Then I caught myself thinking back to those things I have being procrastinating on, and I asked myself: if na those things I g*t do everyday to chop, I nor go do am? The answer I got from myself was a resounding yes with full assurance. There was no iota of fear or shame about other people's opinions on it. *The next day, I started. I didn't need any motivation after that experience.*

Brethren in the Lord, hunger is a powerful motivator, if e hold you, you go humble.

When people complain they are broke, and in need of a way to step up financially, I just laugh, cause most of them know what to do, but shame, fear and the likes have tied their hands from doing it. And they will stay like that for as long as possible until they Jam situation that will slap sense into their head.

For my case it was hunger. And it was an accident ooh, is not like I don't have food. Imagine if I didn't have at all. I pray you don't come across tough situations with little or no way of escape before you come to your senses and do what you ought to have done or be doing by now.

After that experience whenever I feel like am delaying on a decision because am still considering how I will present it, or go about it to soot others opinion, I will just go on hunger strike to clear my head. *Once I do am reach 7pm dem nor born me well make I nor make the right decision wey go benefit me.*
