CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEWLY INAUGURATED GOVERNING COUNCIL OF BAYELSA STATE POLYTECHNIC, ALEIBIRI 🎉

The Rector of the Bayelsa State Polytechnic Aleibiri, Dr Wisdom Clinton Soreh on behalf of Management, Staff and Students, of the Polytechnic, heartily congratulate the newly inaugurated 16-member Governing Council of the Institution, graciously appointed by His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State and leader of the Assured Prosperity Administration.

The Governing Council, chaired by DIG Mike Perewari Odogu Zuokumor (Rtd.), was formally inaugurated today, by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Dr. Gentle Emelah, at the Conference Hall of the Education House in Yenagoa

In his address, Dr. Emelah charged the Council to discharge its responsibilities with integrity, fairness, diligence, objectivity and selfless service, emphasizing that the success and growth of the Polytechnic would largely depend on the quality of leadership and governance provided by the Council as the apex policy-making body of the Institution.

The Commissioner further reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Assured Prosperity Administration to building an Educational system that is inclusive, Technology-driven and globally competitive.

He urged the newly inaugurated Council to be guided by the vision and aspirations of the Administration in advancing the Institution to greater heights.

In response, the Chairman of the Governing Council, DIG Mike Perewari Odogu Zuokumor (rtd) profusely expressed his gratitude to his Excellency, Senator Douye Diri for finding him worthy to be appointed as Chairman of Council of the Polytechnic, he assured the Honourable Commissioner that his team will work assiduously to ensure that the vision and goals of the prosperity Administration are achieved.

He urged other members of the Council to strive for excellence, for unity of purpose and integrity while delivering their services as members of the Governing Council

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Soreh also expressed his profound appreciation to His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, for his continued support and commitment to the development of the Education sector and particularly to the growth of Bayelsa State Polytechnic Aleibiri

Dr Soreh wished the Chairman and members of the Governing Council a successful tenure as they provide the leadership and strategic direction required to move the Institution to the next level and beyond.
