Seventeen students have died in a fire at a school in Kenya. Local police have confirmed that the fire, which broke out on Thursday night at Hillside Endarasha Primary in Nyeri County, resulted in the deaths of 17 students.

A bus carrying Nepalese has met with an accident in Samastipur district of Bihar, India. At least 30 people have been injured in the accident.

The police have reported that an Indian bus fell into the Marsyangdi River near Abukhaireni in Tanahun district.
According to the police, search and rescue operations are ongoing at the accident site. The bus fell about 300 meters down from the road into the river.

A woman has died at Bharatpur Hospital while attempting to remove a piece of uterine tissue (biopsy). The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Samjhana Kafle Dhakal, a resident of Munalchok, Bharatpur-12.

In the Kanchanrup Municipality of Saptari, along the East-West Highway, a diesel tanker hit a motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of the motorcycle rider, 41-year-old Mahesh Kumar Mehta and the pillion rider, 42-year-old Jayaprakash Mehta, both residents of Harinagara Rural Municipality-3 in Sunsari.

Nepal Oil Corporation has reduced the price of petrol by Rs. 5 per litre and diesel and kerosene by Rs. 3 per litre. The reduced price will be effective from midnight on Thursday.
