As a continuation of our Environment Week Celebration, our little Kindergarteners made heartfelt promises to care for our planet through a special art activity themed "My Thumbprint, My Promise."

Using their tiny thumbprints, the children worked together to create beautiful artwork while making meaningful promises to protect the environment:

Playgroup: "I promise to love and care for our Earth."

Foundation: "I will keep our Earth clean and green."

Pre-I: "I promise to use water wisely and never waste it."

Pre-II: "I promise to plant trees and keep the Earth clean."

These wonderful artworks have been displayed in their classrooms as gentle reminders of the promises they have made. Throughout the year, teachers will continue to encourage and remind them of their commitment to caring for nature.

Although they are still very young, we hope to nurture in them a lifelong love for the environment and instill values of responsibility, respect, and care for the natural world.

As part of our Environment Week Celebration for World Environment Day, IMS Kindergarten came alive with calm and peaceful vibes. The day began with a guided meditation session accompanied by soft music. Although meditation can be challenging for young children due to their developing attention spans, our little learners tried their best and started the day with focus and mindfulness alongside their teachers.

One of the most exciting parts of the day was Story Time. Through colorful props and engaging storytelling, the children listened to the journey of a tiny seed growing into a strong and healthy plant. They immersed themselves in the magical world of stories while learning about nature and growth.

To conclude the session, the children enjoyed a fun follow-up activity with an action song that demonstrated how plants grow, making learning both interactive and enjoyable.

Inspired by this year's theme, "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Future.", we hope to nurture a generation of thoughtful, responsible, and environmentally conscious individuals who will care for and protect our Earth for years to come.

Our Foundation students joyfully engaged in pouring, scooping, and fine motor activities today. They practiced pouring water from one container into another, scooping pulses with a spoon from one bowl to another, and placing rubber bands around empty toilet rolls.

These simple yet meaningful activities help children strengthen their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and body control. Pouring activities develops patience, balance, and control of hand movements, while scooping improves grip strength and coordination needed for everyday tasks like eating and writing. Similarly, stretching and placing rubber bands around toilet rolls strengthens children’s hand grip, finger muscles, and finger control, which are essential for writing and self-help skills.

Such sensory-based activities are wonderfully calming and help children stay focused while learning through play. These activities can easily be practiced at home too, and we are sure our little learners truly enjoyed every moment of it. πŸ’›

We are proud to share that we had a successful *Kindergarten Parents’ Day and Graduation Ceremony* on *Wednesday, 18th Chaitra 2082*. The children put in great effort and presented beautiful dances and songs for their loving parents.

Our Playgroup and Foundation students performed with full energy, while our Pre-1 and Pre-2 children delighted everyone with their performances.

It was an emotional moment for all of us to see our Pre-2 children graduate and step into a new chapter of their learning journey. We warmly congratulate the parents on this important milestone in their child’s life.

Please remember, our Kindergarten doors are always open to welcome our Pre-2 children back with open arms. Parents and children also enjoyed the photo booth, creating wonderful memories together.

We had the privilege of hosting a Neurodiversity Awareness Workshop on 9th Falgun 2082 at Ideal Model School.
The session focused on helping educators recognize early signs of autism, understand neurodiversity, and apply practical classroom strategies to support children with mild autism. Teachers also explored effective ways to communicate with parents and addressed common myths through evidence based discussion.
It was encouraging to see teachers from various Kindergartens actively participate, ask thoughtful questions, and share their experiences. The session was insightful, interactive, and filled with meaningful learning.
Our goal is simple and strong. Join hands and work together for our special children. Inclusive education is not optional. Every child, including those with autism, deserves understanding, support, and the opportunity to thrive.

Our little Kindergarteners from Pre-I & Pre-II had an exciting and meaningful visit to the Fire Station and nearby traffic signal as part of their theme on Transportation and Community Helpers.

At the fire station, they observed how firefighters carry out their duties and learned about the important role a fire station plays in keeping the community safe. The professionals generously shared their knowledge, helping the children understand fire safety in a simple and engaging way.

The children also interacted with a traffic police officer who guided them on basic road safety rules. They carefully crossed the road when the pedestrian light turned green, putting their learning into practice.

They concluded this meaningful experience with a colorful follow-up activity in class, reinforcing their understanding of the theme through creative expression.

We extend our sincere
gratitude to Lalitpur Metropolitan City for supporting this valuable learning experience and helping our kindergarteners connect classroom lessons with the real world.
