On May 3, 2026, the Institute of Criminal Justice Education, Governance and Public Safety (ICJEGPS) showcased the power of student resourcefulness during the ICJEGPS Night 2026. Despite limited funds, the event was successfully realized through the collective effort, determination, and strong leadership of the Criminology Department Officers, who took the initiative in planning, coordinating, and ensuring the smooth ex*****on of the program.

Students contributed their talents, time, and resources, demonstrating a strong “can-do” attitude throughout the preparation and implementation of the event. Their collaboration highlighted that meaningful and memorable experiences are not defined by budget, but by unity, leadership, and initiative.

ICJEGPS Night 2026 Celebrates Student Unity and Achievement

On May 3, 2026, the Institute of Criminal Justice Education, Governance and Public Safety (ICJEGPS) held the ICJEGPS Night 2026 following the Battery Examination. The event provided students with an opportunity to unwind and celebrate their efforts.

Students from the BS Criminology, BS Industrial Security Management (BSISM), and Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) programs actively participated, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and enthusiasm despite limited resources. The success of the event highlighted the strength of student leadership and unity.

ANNOUNCEMENT

The Office of the Dean of the Institute of Criminal Justice Education, Governance and Public Safety (ICJEGPS) of Catbalogan City Community College hereby informs all concerned students of the following important academic schedules and activities. All students are advised to take note of these dates and comply accordingly.

• Final Examination – April 28–30, 2026 (All Students)

• Battery Examination for 2nd Year BS Criminology Students – May 2, 2026, from 07:00 AM to 10:00 AM, to be held at the CCCC Activity Center

• Battery Examination for 1st Year BS Criminology Students – May 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, to be held at the CCCC Activity Center

• ICJEGPS Night – May 3, 2026, 05:00 PM onwards, at the CCCC Activity Center, with the participation of BSCRIM, BSISM, and BPA students

• Signing of Clearances – May 4–9, 2026

• Enrollment for Old Students – May 13–18, 2026

All concerned are enjoined to strictly observe and follow the above-mentioned schedule. Students are likewise reminded to maintain proper decorum and discipline during all scheduled activities.

ICJEGPS Conducts Parent–Student Meeting for BS Criminology Students

On April 9, 2026, the Institute of Criminal Justice Education, Governance and Public Safety (ICJEGPS) conducted a consultative meeting with the parents and guardians of First and Second Year BS Criminology students. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Leo Carlo B. Rondina, RCrim, CSP, PhD, Dean of ICJEGPS.

During the meeting, the Dean discussed the rationale and schedule of the Battery Examination for Second Year Criminology students, emphasizing its importance in assessing academic readiness and upholding the standards of the program. Parents and students were also given the opportunity to raise questions and express concerns, which were thoroughly addressed by the Dean to ensure transparency and clarity.

The meeting concluded with a clearer understanding of the examination process and strengthened cooperation among the administration, students, and parents in supporting the academic and professional development of future criminology professionals.

All 1st Year and 2nd Year BS Criminology students, together with their parent or guardian, are required to attend a departmental meeting regarding the Battery Examination and other academic concerns.

Attendance is strictly mandatory. Failure to attend the scheduled meeting will be dealt with accordingly in accordance with departmental policies.

This meeting is essential to discuss important academic matters and preparations related to the Battery Examination. Students are advised to inform their parents or guardians and arrive on time.

Students are required to observe proper decorum and appropriate attire
