Also held on May 16, the Sebastinian Psychology Society participated in the Psynergy Convention 2026 with the theme “𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸, 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘁𝘂𝗸𝗹𝗮𝘀, 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴: 𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗶𝗸𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗵𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗴𝗼” at Our Lady of Fatima University - Quezon City Campus, organized by the TATSULOK - Alyansa ng mga Mag-aaral sa Sikolohiyang Pilipino.

The organization sent nine (9) delegates, including official representatives Shane Narcelle Quidor and Princess Carol Jimenez.

The event featured a meaningful talk by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮, 𝗥𝗣𝗺, who discussed the origins, current state, and future of Sikolohiyang Pilipino, and how students can contribute to its growth. He left participants with a thought-provoking question: “𝙆𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙋 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙤 𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙞𝙠𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙝𝙞𝙮𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙖, 𝙖𝙣𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙙𝙤 𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙩 𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙖 𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙩𝙤?”

This was followed by a roundtable discussion with psychology professionals from the clinical, industrial, and educational fields, who shared their insights on the integration of Sikolohiyang Pilipino in their respective practices and how it enhances their work.

The convention also featured various contests, including paper presentations and a spoken word poetry competition.

𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 reminds us that mental health is shaped not only by personal struggles but also by the realities around us. As Filipinos face rising costs, social issues, and uncertainty in our nation, taking care of our mental well-being becomes more important than ever💚

May we continue to raise awareness, support one another, and advocate for a society that prioritizes both the welfare and mental health of its people🤝

And as this year's theme, "More Good Days, Together" let us also be mindful that good days will come, and will be within our reach. Also held on May 16, the Sebastinian Psychology Society participated in the seminar entitled “𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆: 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀,” hosted by the Institute of Graduate Studies of San Sebastian College Recoletos Manila, with members attending both face-to-face and online.

The seminar was truly insightful and inspiring, as the speakers shared valuable lessons on the 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆. As future professionals, may we continue to uphold ethical practice while understanding and helping others. We may not always be perfect, but what matters is that we remain thoughtful, accountable, compassionate, and humane without losing our professional grounding.

From the PRC perspective, ethical practice is essential in every profession, requiring adherence to ethical codes, relevant laws and regulations, and the proper resolution of ethical dilemmas in practice. One statement shared by Dr. John Manuel B. Kliatchko truly stood out: “𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙪𝙢𝙖, 𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙛, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙪𝙗𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮. Last May 16, the Sebastinian Psychology Society participated in the webinar entitled 𝙃𝙍 𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩 2026: 𝙍𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙍 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝘿𝙮𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙, conducted by the 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 (𝘾𝙃𝙍𝙋) 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨.

The webinar featured eight inspiring speakers who explored a range of topics, from how different generations overcome workplace challenges to how effective leadership contributes to the growth of both organizations and their people. As Ms. Malecah Madrid shared during her talk, “ 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱.”

The event was not only rich in knowledge but also filled with meaningful lessons, insights, and experiences that guided participants in navigating the field and becoming effective HR professionals.

As part of the commemoration of its 60th founding anniversary, SSC-R de Cavite brings back a much loved community tradition - the Flores de Mayo.

We invite everyone to witness "Dios Te Salve The Sebastinian Flores de Mayo" on May 26 (Tuesday). The celebration in honor of the Nuestra Señora de la Consolacion y Correa will begin with the procession and sagalahan at 4:00 p.m.
