On June 22, Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion, Inc. officially opened its doors for the first day of classes for school year 2026-2027, warmly welcoming students and Lay Mission Partners back to campus for another year of learning, growth, and service.
The morning assembly began with a paraliturgy, bringing the CIC community together in prayer as they marked the start of a new academic year. This was followed by a message from Ms. Adele Malaque, who introduced this year’s theme, “Empowered Inmaculadistas: Artisans of Peace and Hope for a Church Fully Alive.” She shared that the theme serves as a call, invitation, and a mission, encouraging every Inmaculadista to make a positive difference in their community through faith, compassion, and service.
The day continued with orientation sessions led by homeroom advisers and various school offices, familiarizing students with programs and services such as Christian Vincentian Formation, Student Activities, Student Formation, Student Development and Well-Being, and External Linkages.
Welcome home, Inmaculadistas! May this school year be filled with purpose, growth, and countless moments that inspire peace and hope.

Immersion-Integration-Cultural Exposure
Last May 25–26, the Lay Mission Partners (LaMPs) of CIC-Cebu immersed themselves in the different sitios of Brgy. Lusaran, Cebu City, one of the school’s partner communities, where they encountered stories of hope, resilience, and community life beyond the classroom walls.
The journey continued with an integration session at St. Francis Seraph Retreat House on May 26-27, facilitated by Ms. Anna Escaño of the Just One House Project, a CIC alumna and fellow Vincentian who guided the participants in reflecting on their immersion experiences through the theme, “Empowered Inmaculadistas: Artisans of Peace and Hope.”
The meaningful journey concluded with a cultural exposure in Oslob, Cebu last May 29–30, celebrating the richness of culture, heritage, and community that continue to inspire learning and appreciation.
Through every encounter, reflection, and shared experience, the CIC-Cebu LaMPs continue to grow as empowered Inmaculadistas and artisans of peace and hope.

What keeps the CIC-Cebu community mission-driven, and ready for another school year?
Before the classrooms fill and the school year officially begins, the CIC-Cebu faculty and staff (LaMPs- Lay Mission Partners) came together for the Institutional Pre-Service Activities for School Year 2026–2027.
From revisiting the school’s Vision-Mission, Core Values, and Graduate Attributes, to understanding the organizational structure, SOPs, and institutional guidelines, the activity served as a meaningful reminder of our shared mission and commitment as educators and mission partners.
Together, we continue to grow as empowered Vincentians and artisans of peace and hope, ready to serve, lead, and inspire this new school year.
