As of 3:00 AM today, the concerned authorities have issued clearance and directed schools that have been inspected, assessed, and declared safe for occupancy to resume face-to-face classes.

Accordingly, Optaciano Hilay National High School will resume regular face-to-face classes effective today.

We look forward to seeing our learners back on campus and beginning the day together in a safe and positive learning environment.

We would like to inform our school community that Optaciano Hilay National High School was inspected by the concerned authorities last Thursday, June 11, 2026.

However, as of this writing, the school has not yet received an official clearance or directive authorizing the resumption of face-to-face classes.

Consequently, the implementation of blended learning for students and work-from-home arrangements for teaching and non-teaching personnel shall remain in effect until further notice.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will promptly share any changes or updates through our official channels upon receipt of the appropriate orders.

Please be informed that Optaciano Hilay National High School remains pending inspection, assessment, and validation by the concerned authorities.

As such, face-to-face classes remain suspended for tomorrow, Thursday June 11, 2026.

Blended learning for students and a work-from-home arrangement for all teaching and non-teaching personnel shall continue until further notice.

We thank everyone for their continued understanding and cooperation as we await the completion of the inspection process.

Therefore, there will be no face-to-face classes tomorrow, Wednesday June 10, 2026.

Pending the official declaration that the school is safe for occupancy, blended learning for students and a work-from-home arrangement for teaching and non-teaching personnel shall remain in effect.

In anticipation of possible aftershocks and pending the completion of ongoing structural assessments, government offices in Davao City, including local government offices and national government agencies, shall adopt a work-from-home arrangement tomorrow, June 9, 2026, EXCEPT for offices providing safety and security, health, sanitation, traffic management, social services, and disaster and emergency response services.

The private sector is encouraged to adopt similar arrangements to ensure the welfare and safety of their employees.

Face-to-face classes at all levels in both public and private educational institutions shall remain suspended tomorrow, June 9, 2026, pending the completion of safety inspections.

Educational institutions are encouraged to adopt online or distance learning modalities to ensure the welfare and safety of their students and personnel.
